Siblings are an important part of our lives. Love or hate them – the kinship exists. But how intimate do you want that bond? Mitchell and Claire had to deal with that question.

At the Dunphy Compound, Claire leaves the house believing Phil will supervise the kids. When she left, there were problems galore. Man-child Phil sneaks out to show a listing to Mitchell and Cam’s friends. Will the kids burn the house down?

Finally we get to the episode to answer all the questions (or at least some of the bigger questions) planted by the pilot. Yes, we now know who died on the beach, though who shot them may not be as clear. We also know why Emily had sand on her hand at the engagement party, and why Jack was on the beach with the body.

In an amazing episode that brought back characters we weren’t necessarily expecting to see again, and included more gun flashing than we’ve had all season, we get both answers and new questions to ponder!

Remember how a couple of episodes ago, it was really gimmicky with the chefs riding bikes around San Antonio? Well, this is worse. Seriously. Just when you want the show to let them cook, they introduce more gimmicks.

What do we have on this episode that tops riding on bikes and cooking in strange kitchens? There’s cooking in gondolas. There’s ingredients frozen in blocks of ice. There’s cross-country skiing. There’s shooting at targets. Yes, there’s biathlon.

I’m excited for this season and I hope you’re excited, too. Why am I excited? Well, first, no returning players. Everyone will be starting from scratch. It feels like the show is giving itself a bit of a fresh start, which it desperately needs after the last few seasons.

Also, I have to admit that I’m intrigued by how both tribes living on one beach will work.

A Marine Captain is talking to his florist friend, Dexter Murphy, when the florist received a threatening phonecall, just before the two are shot to death. An intrepid reporter is on the case, even giving Vance information. Vance assigns Gibbs to the reporter, they happen to go way back. No, not like that. Gibbs pairs DiNozzo with the reporter, because they really do go back. That reporter is Tony DiNozzo’s ex-fiancé, Wendy Miller.

Week 7

This week’s excuse is “I can’t lose weight during the holidays.” Now, I personally don’t consider Valentine’s Day “the holidays”. It’s one day with a little chocolate. I consider the holidays Thanksgiving through New Years, but I get where they are coming from. It’s not an easy time to focus on weight loss. But it’s possible if you’re careful and consistent. You can have a piece of chocolate or two, just not the whole box.

The other theme for this week is all about Conda vs. Daphne. From beginning to end, they are at each other in every way. Let’s jump right in with the action!

SouthLAnd is great. It has great writing, great stunts, realistic cop drama, etc. But lately, the side stories and other layers of the show have been better than the cop action I usually love of shows like this. This week was one of those weeks.

“After 20 years on the job, Officer John Cooper has been wondering how his fellow officers will remember him. But right now the only thing he can think of is hanging on.”

By sheer coincidence three bodies are discovered in a lifeguard tower in California, a tower which wasn’t supposed to be opened for another month – which would have made it the perfect place to hide the bodies – had it not been for a couple of horny teenagers.

A gruesome scene unfolds inside the tower and the BAU is called in to work on the case. They are on top of it right away but they don’t have much to go on. Meanwhile their unsub is leaving a trail of bodies.
