OK, now we get the last 10 singers to make the Top 24. I have to admit, there were a few surprises. And one major surprise at the end.

But this one-hour episode pretty much followed the formula: the long walk to the seats of reckoning in front of the judges and then they convince the singers they’re done for — and some times, they were.

But 10 lucky contestants will make it to the live shows that being Tuesday with all the guys. Here’s how they did.

This hour raised the all-important question of “what can we handle?” Most people think they can handle anything thrown their way. But how much is too much? How much is not enough.

All of our storylines this evening essentially revolved around that question. And we learned the answers for our beloved doctors is equally more than we think and not as much as we think. And in some cases, it was actually a little bit of both. So let’s go over what went down this hour.

Up All Night – Recap & Review – First Birthday

TV time differs from real time. Sometimes a few episodes focus on a few days time and sometimes we leap forward abruptly. Tonight, though Up All Night has only been on about five months, Amy is one year old!

We already know Reagan and Chris aren’t typical parents, and for them, the whole celebration thing isn’t a big deal. Their neighbors, however, disagree. They happily get involved and things go from there…

Last week, I posed the question “What you think is going to be the big end-of-season battle?” If you’re keeping a tally board, get ready to mark one down! We had our three choices of Elias, Root, and Agent Snow. This week’s episode features handiwork associated with all three – there are murder framing attempts (Elias), phone hacking not done by Finch (Root), and government involvement (Snow). But who’s behind it all?

This week doesn’t offer much new information, Reese sets a new personal record for minimal effort, and the only questions you’re likely to be left with involve the financial plot (unless you’re somewhat investment savvy, which I’m not). But it’s still a fairly entertaining episode. I see the bull and the bear are already marking their territory, so click the link and let’s recap!

It’s been a while since we’ve had a good old-fashioned serial killer on SVU. Tonight, we correct that oversight. And yes, I did just use the phrase “good old fashioned serial killer”. Again, it’s Law & Order: SVU.

We open with Olivia and ADA Haden on a date. While they’re debating how quickly to take things, though, a girl working as an escort is getting into a client’s car, and soon being taken away against her will.

Going into last week’s episode, I would’ve sworn this week’s episode was the last one. Nope. This is the second-to-last or the penultimate episode. One more after this one. Don’t worry though, there’s an off-putting challenge and an elimination.

So, hang on with me, won’t you? Journey to Vancouver for two challenges that will make you scratch your head and say, “Huh?” and lead to a result that just makes you sad. Well, it made me sad anyway (Sorry, no spoilers!). I’d be less sad if Chris Stupid Hair was declared the Top Chef.

If you’re a Kat person, this isn’t going to be a fun episode for you. (Sorry, I have to use the puns when I can.) She makes a string of mistakes and then beats up on herself and it’s not fun to watch.

Actually, there wasn’t much that was fun to watch in this episode. A leader does emerge in the women’s tribe and she appears to be pretty competent and no one resents her. So, that’s a relief. Jeff decides to take a nap during the Reward Challenge, so that was a relief (for me).

American Idol – Recap & Review – Final Judgment

After countless auditions, a brutal Hollywood Week and surprising Vegas Week, the final 42 becomes the Top 24. And with that, the live shows and viewer voting will begin. In their final performance, contestants had to sing a song of their choice, backed by one musician on their choice of instrument.

Then they faced the judges for the final verdict on the Runway to the Hot Seat. Luckily, their journeys were collapsed down into a few minutes for each contestant, so we didn’t have to listen to all 42 final songs. I spotted many favorites in the waiting room, but there were also people we’ve yet to see, which is not a good sign for them.

At the Dunphy Compound, everyone is gathered for brunch. The conversation steers towards past misdeeds – Claire left the convertible top down, Jay missed Claire’s skating competition because he was drunk, and Jay didn’t really get a hole-in-one since Mitchell kicked it in. Jay, nicknamed Ace at the golf club, is not amused.

After Mitchell ruined brunch with his golf revelation, Luke and Manny decide to take down the diabolical Lily – she’s too cute, gosh darn it! They set a trap that, instead, ensnared Cam. He ends up with a back injury and breaking Lily’s doll.
