The world will be set on fire. Jeez. Talk about your unintended consequences. In this next to last episode for the season, we learn of the possible consequences for anyone reaching the mysterious level 12 of the Tower.

We start where we left off last episode, with Rachel holding a grenade in Monroe’s command tent. One of Monroe’s guards is able to wrestle the grenade out of Rachel’s hands and throw it away before it explodes. Both Rachel and Monroe survive. Miles’ helicopter lands roughly 4 miles from the Tower. It’ll be a challenge to face Monroe’s platoon of soldiers, but “what the hell, just another Monday” for Miles and company.

Betty appears in this episode, which can sometimes be a distraction. Not this time. Betty serves to drive the plot and expose something of Don to Don that he might not have known.

Meanwhile, things progress for Joan romantically but regress for Peggy. AND! Someone goes to the hospital in an ambulance!

Arrested Development
Flight of the Phoenix

“And now, the story of a family whose future was abruptly cancelled…” It’s the first laugh in the long-overdue and hugely hyped return of Arrested Development, the show Netflix revived this weekend for a fourth season after its untimely cancellation in 2006. Well, fans – both originals and those who caught the bug via DVDs or streaming episodes – don’t blue yourselves. The Bluths are back.

As the narrator (Ron Howard) clears his throat, we see the Bluths celebrating Cinco de Cuatro, a holiday we learn a young Lucille and George Sr. (hilariously captured by Kristen Wiig and Seth Rogen) dreamed up in a Grinch-like moment of hatred towards celebrating Mexicans. Fast forward 30 years, and Michael Bluth is in the midst of Cinco de Cuatro festivities, climbing the Austero-Bluth stair car. Michael owes Lucille 2 $700,000, and he’s ready to seduce her until she falls for him (literally, the vertigo, remember?) and forgives his debt.

We’re sure you’ve been reading all about it everywhere else. The hype has been impossible to miss. Even people who were never fans have surely heard countless of their friends squealing in excitement. The season finale also marks the end of Gracie Dunphy, Phil’s mom. The family is in Florida to support Phil after his mom’s passing. Deaths are hard, let’s see how the funny family maneuvers through this difficult time while putting a smile on our faces.

Cam fits right in Florida, befriending a group of senior women. Being the cow manure stirrer that he is, Cam innocently reveals each of the women’s secrets – cheating at mahjong, stealing cookies, or drinking issues. The friendly group turn on each other and Cam wonders why drama follows him – ‘cause he’s a gossiper monger?!!

Law & Order: SVU
Her Negotiation

Caitlin – Senior Staff Writer

A season finale of SVU basically means that an already intense show cranks up the drama several times over. This time, though, we won’t really see how bad things get until the final few seconds of the episode.

Things starts out with an unusual montage. The majority of it is the detectives actually enjoying a weekend for once. But then there’s the guy who burns a coworker’s hands on a grill and later exposes himself to two women in the park.
