Forget the Academy Awards. Who needs the Oscars when the MOTYs are on? That’s Man of the Year for everyone who doesn’t reside in Bluebell. This prestigious award is bestowed on George, but I believe the MOTY should have gone to someone more deserving – Wade. As Zoe comes to grip with her father issues, said issues invariably showcase the best and worst of George and Wade, not to mention Lemon and Lavon.

Want to know whether I’m justified holding up my Team Wade banner? Read on after the jump for why!

2 Broke Girls
And the One-Night Stands

I thought last week’s episode was a major misstep for the show, so my expectations for tonight’s episode were low. I really want to say that I liked this episode, but I really didn’t. I wouldn’t say that I hate the show right now, but I feel that it’s becoming weaker over time and not growing. Also, I didn’t really laugh at all during the episode, and a comedy is supposed to make you laugh, isn’t it?

So tonight’s episode mainly focused on Caroline. She celebrated a birthday, had a one night stand, and went to see her father in prison. Read on for tonight’s recap.

All the buzz this week is about Danno’s real life dad James Caan is making a guest appearance. What everyone has failed to mentioned is that Dennis Miller is guesting as a radical pirate radio DJ. Who gets blown up while broadcasting from offshore. Well that’s a new one.

Back in their offtime, Danny is doing his bit to earn money for the show by doing a little product placement. At least it’s semi-subtle this time. The team is on the case of the blown-up radio boat. The kill was pretty sophisticated, meant for the DJ and saving the producer. Everything is going along when Max runs up. Someone has stolen the coroners van with Raines’ body in it! Gotta love a twist.

Comic Book Men – Recap & Review – Commercial

Comic Book Men
Commercial

This week’s issue opens with a discussion of what character in a movie or comic book made the guys sad when they died. Mike admits to crying when E.T. “died.” The guys give him crap about it, but I cried too, Mike. I cried too.

The plot of this week’s issue centers around Walt’s idea to film a commercial for the Stash. The Comic Book Men decide they want to make a really awful local commercial in the vein of Crazy Eddie. They draft Bryan to direct. It’s great seeing Bry back in the directors chair (and beret). Viewaskewniverse fans will remember Bryan as the director of the must-see-film Vulgar.

18 Miles Out

Zombies! Everywhere! Rick is getting chased, Shane is trapped in a school bus, and poor little Randall is tied up on the ground. This is going to be a good episode.

Expecting to see a “6 hours earlier” caption, the episode jumps back to Rick and Shane driving down the road in their hybrid. It has been a week or so since the incident in the saloon and they are taking Randall (tied up and blindfolded, with with ear buds duct taped to his head) 18 miles out to drop him off. The plan was to fix his leg and send him on his way with a shot at life and no knowledge of the whereabouts of the farm.

Last week began season 20 of our favorite race around the world. It started off with skydiving and one of the worst mistakes in The Amazing Race history (make sure to read the recap if you didn’t get a chance to see it!).

This week should be interesting as the racers get settled into the swing of things, get to know more about each other and hopefully, some of the racers figure out Brenchel are previous reality show contestants – and winners! I’m hoping to see a Team BP (Border Patrol) vs Team FBI battle because how awesome would that be?!

With that being said, I present the top 10 things I learned from The Amazing Race

The season of growth and exploration for the character of Merlin continues with this episode, as he sets off to use the medical knowledge Gaius has given him to try to help a village suffering from an unknown sickness.

But what happens when the illness turns out to be sorcery, and the latest victims in the magical creatures eyes are the Knights of Camelot? Can Merlin and Gwen hold off the ancient beast until Arthur can find them, or are more Knights destined to join Lancelot in the spirit world?

“We keep trying to protect you from the harsh reality of this life we chose.” – Henry Reagan

Cops know the risk of their job, or “hazards of their occupation.” But it never gets easier when a fellow cop is killed (or hurt). In tonight’s episode, it’s not just another cop who is killed – it’s a close friend of Danny’s. Everyone deals with their grief differently and Danny and Jackie vow to find the killer.
