…And what a shake-up indeed! With Perd Hapley reporting the news that Bobby Newport’s poll numbers are plummeting, things are starting to look up for Leslie’s campaign. She’s closer than ever to winning this whole thing, thanks to campaign manager and “sexy hummingbird,” Ben.

However, her plan to engage the seniors of Pawnee takes a big blow when Newport amps up his campaign team with a brand name manager. Can Leslie still take the senior vote or is this another setback?

Welcome back to the second half of the season of Psych! Before we jump into the new episode, let’s review what we missed in the last two episodes in the Fall. In The Tao of Gus, the boys protected a pretty murder witness on a commune that turned out to be a cult and Gus drank the Kool-Aid. He had a crush on the pretty lady, Nicole. We learned that Lassie loves pancakes and is cranky as usual and Gus fights like a girl. The dead body turned up in the shed and the leader of the cult is a con man. Sadly, Gus lost the girl.

In Neil Simon’s Lover’s Retreat, Jason Priestly was a bad guy, Shawn and Jules went on a spa weekend and left poor Gus alone. Gus wasn’t alone for long. He ended up spending his weekend with Lassie and Henry. At the spa, Jason and Shawn make a cute couple. Back at home, Henry has better play than Gus or Carlton. Shawn and Jules get robbed and Jason and Shawn break up because Jason is a thieving thief who thieves. But he didn’t murder the wine guy. Henry’s girl is a stalker who stalks and it turns out that it’s Tony Hale who is the murdering murderer who murders. And Shawn was going to propose to Juliet? Let’s see what happens next!

PBS Commemorates 100th Anniversary of Titanic Disaster with Special Programs Premiering in April

photo: pbs

PBS will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, the deadliest peacetime maritime disaster in history, with three new programs scheduled for April 2012: SAVING THE TITANIC, premiering on Sunday, April 1; THE TITANIC WITH LEN GOODMAN, premiering on Tuesday, April 10; and NOVA “Why Ships Sink,” premiering on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, which investigates the safety of cruise ships and questions whether passengers are safe at sea a century later. Each program provides a unique perspective on the April 14, 1912, disaster — from historical drama to science to personal stories of the effect of the tragedy on the descendants of those who perished and those who survived.

“The 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic is an opportunity to take another look at what really happened in this epic disaster,” said John Wilson, Senior Vice President and Chief TV Programming Executive. “These three programs examine the tragedy from different angles — from the impact of the tragedy on the descendants of those onboard, to the engineering challenges faced by the crew and, finally, a chance to ask ourselves if the safety of cruise ships has kept pace with the public’s demand for larger and even more luxurious accommodations over the last hundred years.”

They say that parents love their kids unconditionally, but some parents really take it too far. Jeffrey Collins’ parents are certainly the prime example of parents who take their ‘love’ way too far.

Their son was injured in an accident when he was fifteen, he became confined to a wheelchair and lately he hasn’t been able to deal with it very well. He’s bittered and lonely, he living at home with his parents. His father is a drunk and his mother a control freak.

Law & Order: SVU
Child’s Welfare

Original Air Date: Feb 29, 2012

Caitlin – Staff Writer

This week’s opening is, though disturbing, not too unusual for this show. A young woman gives birth in what might be an abandoned building, but the baby boy is taken from her and later found on the streets.

But maybe it’s a very special- by SVU standards- Leap Day episode, because we also see Simon, Olivia’s half brother. He’s married, apparently, and has kids. Then the kids are taken away by child services. He begs Olivia to help get them back.

Two Cents & Five Questions with Jason Isaacs (Awake)

jason isaacs

Jason Isaacs, Actor

One of the most publicized new shows of the Spring is Awake, and it’s for a good reason. It’s a show that is super original, has an outstanding cast and a phenomenal lead. That lead being Jason Isaacs, who I will admit I had to look up to figure out why he looks so familiar! Hint: he’s a wizard. While Isaacs has done television and movies in his native Great Britain for years, he is making the familiar jump across the pond to try his hand at American television.

In case you haven’t heard, Awake centers on a man Michael Britten who wakes up to two separate realities after a fatal car crash. In one reality, his wife has survived, and in the other, his son.

TheTwoCents: With your character Michael Britten living in these two separate realities, does it ever feel like you’re working on two different shows with different casts simultaneously?

TheTwoCents Turns 5 Years Old

happy birthday!

I can’t believe my baby is already FIVE years old! What a fun ride it’s been so far. I can’t wait to see what TheTwoCents is like as a teenager!

They always say that it takes a village to raise a child, in this case it takes a continent to help with this baby. From my Senior Staff to our writing crew to the news gang to the graphics and of course all our readers and fans – I really couldn’t do it without any of you.

Like all five-year-olds, TheTwoCents just keeps growing by leaps and bounds. That has a lot to do with the quality of the work the TTC family puts out there, our ability to cover shows overlooked by many TV sites and of course by the loyal readers who come back every week to share their own TwoCents with us.

Thank you to each and every one of you – this little college project in 2007 has really fleshed itself out huh?

Idol made a course correction when Randy admitted they were a little lenient on the guys last night. “We gave some passes,” he confessed.  You bet they did!

So the women received more feedback, some of it negative, but nothing close to Simon Cowell brutal. Yet one contestant said they, “hurt her feelings.”

Welcome to the big leagues, honey.

“This is the end. My only friend, the end.” Yes, The Doors. That’s where this season has driven me. I am glad we’ve finally arrived at the end.

In a surprising twist, this was an exciting episode. The food seemed interesting. There was no real interpersonal drama. This is what every episode should be like.
