ABC to Premiere New Competition Series “Duets” For Summer 2012

ABC announced today a brand new music competition series, “Duets,” starring four of the music industry’s biggest Superstars, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Nettles, Lionel Richie and Robin Thicke. The new series will debut this summer on the ABC television network. For a sneak peek at what the Superstars have to say about the competition click here.

“Duets” is a one-of a kind singing competition that takes the Superstars out from behind the judges’ panel and onto the stage. Clarkson, Nettles, Richie and Thicke will individually set out on a journey across America looking for undiscovered talent worthy of being their protégés. Ultimately, each Superstar will choose two singers to be his/her duet partners. Together the Superstars and their protégés will take the stage each week and perform in front of a live studio audience. In the end, only one duet will be at the top of the charts, and the winning amateur will receive a recording contract with Hollywood Records.

Two things really stand out from this episode. The first is Colton. He continues to show just how ignorant he is. Racist? Maybe. Classist? Definitely.

The other things that stands out is that the show can continue to surprise even after 23 seasons. The men do something that no one had ever done before, something that hadn’t even ever been talked about. Something that makes no sense.

When they return to the house from the elimination, there is big box of stylish clothing for the US for Seymone winning best picture. The UK girls refuse to just lie die down without putting up a fight.

Tyra Mail! – It’s basically a video stating that it’s makeover time for everyone at Sally Hershberger and this cycle everyone is getting a drastic makeover.

This reunion show gave us some of what I wanted: dealing with the bullying and treatment of Beverly but it didn’t go deep enough. No one asked anyone if it’s okay to treat an adult like that. We do find out that some people have apologized to Beverly but not everyone.

Are Regular Hair Chris and Grayson dating? Did Padma flirt with Charlize Theron? Did Sarah tell a judge to off? Well, you’ll have to read on! (Or, you know, watched the episode, but in that case, please read on anyway!)

Welcome to this weeks episode of Justified although at this point it should be called how much information can we give you in one hour. This show has me glued in my seat this season and it continues to amaze me.

We still have no idea what is going to end up happening with Raylan and Winona. There is a lot of things that are still unclear with Quarles and what role he is supposed to be playing, and we have to worry about what he may do to Raylan for getting in the way of his business.
