We knew it was coming. It had been a while since Sophia died tragically, so it follows that it was only a matter of time before we lost another one. But two weeks in a row? What shockers could the season final possibly hold? I’m seriously all shocked-out. But I’m getting head of myself.

Dale was a good man. He tried to see the world in black and white, even though it’s now a bunch of shades of gray. At his graveside, Rick spoke of how Dale thought the group was broken and how the best way to honor Dale is to prove him wrong; to treat life with respect and cherish the opportunities they have been given. From now on, Rick says, things will run “Dale’s way.” Shane isn’t to happy about that. What he is happy about is watching Andrea, Daryl, and T-Dog take their anger out on a group of walkers while fixing breaches in the fence line. That blood-lust feeds him, and perhaps gives him some ideas for his brewing mutiny.

The Good Wife
Long Way Home

Original Air Date: Mar 11, 2011

Patricia Morris Buckley — Sr. Staff Writer

Thomas Wolfe would have enjoyed this episode of The Good Wife as it showed that you can go home again. Or can you?

The Case: Wife killer and Alicia nemesis Colin Sweeney is out of prison and trying to get control of his company. He has hired Eli and the firm to help him secure the stockholders votes. But he has competition and just before the companywide “election,” a woman comes forth to accuse Colin of sexually harassed her, firing her and – to prove it all – knocking her up.

Harry’s Law – Recap & Review – After the Lovin’

Harry’s Law
After the Lovin’

Original Air Date: Mar 11, 2012

“Harry’s Law” is back after a few weeks of reruns. New night, new time. I am excited it’s back – but at the same time apprehensive. The last show I watched that was moved to a new day was cancelled after a few short weeks. But “Harry” has already survived one move, so I am hopeful she is here to stay! What do you think?

As tonight’s episode opens up, we see Harry at her former law office with her client for this episode. The opposing counsel offers $123,000 for the client who lost his wife after thirty-five years of smoking. Harry is not taking the offer saying it was disgustingly unfair. She would rather go to court to get more than to settle for the piddle amount that was offered for the man’s pain and suffering. Adam seems to think that Harry should have settled. Adam’s argument was that the woman smoked different brands of cigarettes, which makes it hard to determine which brand killed her.

Once Upon a Time – Recap & Review – Red-Handed

Once Upon a Time
Red-Handed

Everyone has something dark inside of them. Do you let it loose or hide it? There’s always an internal struggle but which side wins depends on the person’s choice. Unless you’re a werewolf – the dark side will unleash itself every full moon regardless of choices (sucks to be the werewolf and the person that’s being eaten).

In Fairytale, Red and granny’s village is plagued by a blood-thirsty wolf every full moon. Predictable pitchfork wielding villagers seek vengeance. This feels very much like Amanda Seyfried’s “Red Riding Hood” and that movie was mediocre at best – acting and storyline. Doesn’t bode well for this episode.

The Amazing Race – Recap & Review – Taste of Your Salami (Turin, Italy)

A lot of people came out of last week’s episode feeling that Art and JJ were just a little arrogant and cocky. There’s a lot more ammunition for feeling that way in this episode, too. However, Art and JJ do take a step that helps redeem them or makes them seem both generous and cocky at the same time.

The two Rachel teams start to have intra-team problems. Dave does not appear to be able to deal with someone who is not in the military. He also appears to be almost completely humorless. Brendon sets his partner off by doing something imaginary because I can’t tell what it was but it sends Rachel into an episode-long whine-fest that includes talk of quitting (which actually starts with Brendon) on multiple occasions.

Desperate Housewives – Recap & Review – You Take For Granted

Desperate Housewives
You Take For Granted

How’s this for a teaser. Mary Alice admonishes the residents for taking their neighbors for granted because one of them is going to end up dead! And in true Desperate Housewives fashion, they keep us in suspense by throwing in several close calls.

And while people are having brushes with death all over the Lane, let’s not forget that Orson’s envelope is on its way to the police station. So much suspense rolled up into one episode!

Saturday Night Live – Recap & Review – Jonah Hill

Saturday Night Live
Jonah Hill

Original Air Date: Mar 10, 2012

Len – Senior Reviewer

Throughout tonight’s episode of SNL, I kept thinking one thing – “Man, I wish Lindsay Lohan had the kind of fun Jonah Hill is having.” Hosting SNL should be a joyous thing, a time when you cast your worries aside, go out and dress up in crazy costumes, play goofy characters, and just have fun.

And tonight’s show was just fun. For a minute, I felt like I was back in the early 90’s when, for me, SNL was a magical thing. The sketches were all good-silly (save one that I didn’t much care for), and everyone seemed to be energized by having a host who was pretty much down for anything. There seemed to be an especially strong comedic chemistry between Jonah Hill and Kristin Wiig – go back and take a look at their banter in each of their sketches and tell me they shouldn’t be best friends!

There’s a bonus episode for us this week, probably because CBS feels the need to atone for abandoning us to March Madness for the next couple of weeks. I have nothing against college basketball mind you – I was rooting for my team in the ACC semifinals today – but does it really need to take over prime time for so long? That said, this week the team is investigating the murder of cancer patient Archer Braddock, a wealthy car salesman with end stage bone cancer.

So why was such a wealthy man wearing hemp, who would want to kill someone who was already at death’s door and what is that smell?

Blue Bloods – Recap & Review – Reagan v Reagan

Blue Bloods
Reagan v Reagan

Original Air Date: Mar 9, 2012

KP – Editor-in-Chief

Once again your fearless Blue Bloods Recapper, FK, is off watching cars turn left very quickly. So, I get to dust off the ole recapping skills and dive into a fun episode of, what I consider, one of the most overlooked dramas on TV – Blue Bloods.

In case anyone was confused who the real lead is in this show, it’s Donnie Wahlberg’s Danny. I would say that most plot lines involve his character with the rest of the wonderful Reagan family filling in the rest of the storylines.

This episode is all about Danny AND Erin. After all, it is called Reagan v Reagan now isn’t it?
