Pam gets a call that the balloon is falling. What does that mean? There’s a balloon that’s been in the warehouse rafters forever and now it’s finally falling down. Everyone reminisces about what they were doing when the balloon went up. Everyone is bummed out so they bust the balloon with the forklift. And there was much rejoicing.

Nellie has been transferred to the Scranton office. Nellie is going to take over Andy’s desk and his job.

COMMUNITY IS BACK! COMMUNITY IS BACK! COMMUNITY IS B.A.C.K! Ahem…

The group sits in the cafeteria and laments the lack of a decent coffee shop when Pierce walks up with a new invention. It’s a racist camera. Britta has a better plan. She thinks Pierce and Shirley should open a business, namely a sandwich shop in Greendale’s cafeteria. While they’re discussing that, Andre and his backup guys dance in and he proposes to Shirley. Again.

The Vampire Diaries – Recap & Review – 1912

1912.  Wherein Damon reveals his own vampire mentor, Elena talks to her ex about her current boy problems (awkward), and Alaric is more deeply involved in the murder mystery than he’s comfortable with.

Alaric is doing jail time, courtesy of resident (psycho?) doctor.  Apparently, Ric has no alibis and the multiple stab wounds that almost killed him not long ago could have been self-inflicted.  Things look pretty bad for him.  On a side note, Liz is amazing.  Damon suggests that he’ll get involved in the investigation and she actually manages to shut the man up.  *hat tip to the sheriff* Continue reading

Up All Night – Recap & Review – Baby Fever

Up All Night
Baby Fever

Original Air Date: Mar 15, 2012

Caitlin – Staff Writer
caitlin@thetwocentscorp.com

Up All Night was originally marketed as a couple raising a baby. Little Amy won’t always be a baby, so it makes sense for them to try for another at some point. Chris is convinced that point should be now.

Reagan’s not so sure, partly because of everything going on at work and partly because it is very soon. We’re still in season 1. Then again, with the show’s ratings, there might not be a season 2, so I suppose there’s some reason.

TwoCents & Five Questions with Mary McCormack and Fred Weller

mccormack & weller

Mary McCormack, actor
Fred Weller, actor

The fifth and final season of In Plain Sight starts tonight on USA. For the past four years, Mary McComarck and Fred Weller have starred as an odd, yet functional pair of Marshals, Mary Shannon and Marshall Mann. I’m sad that the show is coming to an end, but most of all I will miss the friendly banter McCormack and Weller continue to share, as evidenced on the conference call we were able to participate in.

Here are a few of the questions and answers we got from the actors themselves as they reflect on the end of the series.

TheTwoCents: Can you talk about what we can expect this season?

St. Patrick’s Day

Over the seasons, Jenna and Tracy (she’d be happy that I listed her first!) have always butted heads when the subject turns which of the duo is the bigger celebrity. Riding on the success of America’s Kidz Got Singing!, they finally get their answer when they host NBC’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade and Jenna’s name is presented first.

Liz isn’t a fan of the holiday, so she and Criss have their whole day planned out; a day that will mostly consist of Thai food and wearing orange in the comfort of Liz’s place. That’s the plan, at least until a figure from Liz’s past drops by. Come on, you know who it is, dummy!

Will the TGS staff be graced with some of that famous “luck of the Irish” this St. Patrick’s Day? Find out after the jump!

American Idol – Recap & Review – Top 11 results

Top 11 Results

It’s odd to title Wednesday’s episode Top 12 Perform and this one Top 11 Results. But with Jermaine Johnson’s disqualification, only 11 contestants sang. The real question had to be – with the producers contracted to provide so many hours of TV this season, what would they do with two contestants eliminated in one week? Would they even eliminate someone based on votes?

As it turns out, yes, they would. But in typical Idol style we didn’t get the results until the last few minutes.

Private Practice – Recap & Review – The Letting Go

Interestingly enough, although a large part of this episode takes place in the hospital, we don’t have a formal patient of the week. At least not the one-off stranger we never see again whose medical crisis amazingly relates to whatever crisis the treating doctor is going through in their personal life. No, this week, only familiar faces (albeit recurring characters) were the patients.

The other amazing thing is… my intense dislike of Violet from the beginning of the season has waned. I may not love where the story is heading (more on that in a bit), but I no longer want to throttle her just for the mere appearance on my screen. In fact, I’m going as far as to say that no character got on my nerves this hour! Imagine that!
