Steven started the show by pointing out if someone can’t sing Billy Joel, they can’t sing at all. And while the contestants all proved they could sing, only a few shone when they did so.

Contestants had two mentors this week. Jimmy Iovine had guest mentor Diddy, who had great general advice, but not a lot of specific suggestions. Then contestants met with fashion designer Tommy Hilfinger to work on their stage look, to varying success. Only Jessica Sanchez, who has looked great every week, didn’t really need much help.

So how did they do? Keep on reading…

America’s Next Top Model – Recap & Review – J. Alexander

The main thing that I discovered in tonight’s episode is that I really don’t like some of these girls. Mainly Eboni. We open right after last week’s shocking departure of Louise. The Brits are all upset because they looked up to her, but what’s done is done. The US girls get into a little argument and Eboni and Kyle spout off at each other. Eboni is snappy because she’s upset that the judges want her to be something she’s not. They want her to be all youthful and that’s just not her. Well, you want to be a model honey and part of modeling is acting.

In some seasons, there’s an episode where the game changes for whatever reason. This is that episode for this season.

Also in this episode, Colton just furthers his hold on being the worst Survivor I can remember. He adds being unnecessarily cruel to the person being voted out next to the list of things he’s accomplished.

Week 12

Our excuse this week is, “I can’t lose weight while I’m on vacation.” I can’t speak much for that one, because I haven’t been on a vacation in over a decade. But I remember it being pretty hard. Unless I was with my parents, because they wouldn’t let me eat anything too extravagant, so I would have to sneak food. But I digress. Are you wondering how they would test that excuse on our losers? Well, right after Emily’s elimination, Ali makes a very special announcement.

Everyone is going to Hawaii for the week!! Woohoo!! It’s absolutely beautiful and I feel like I am watching the opening to Hawaii 5-0.

I was wrong last week when I said we had two episodes left. Tonight is the season finale. This season went so fast! I am interested to see how things get wrapped up, especially since there hasn’t been season five pickup news yet.

What will happen on Tang’s last day? Will Lydia finally go on leave? Who’s the baby’s daddy? Will Ben stop trying to help the hookers? So many questions to answer in this season finale!

“After a couple of years on the job every cop has to make a decision about what kind of cop they’re gonna be. The time has come for Officer Ben Sherman to decide.”

Tonight’s episode didn’t feature any random celebrity guest stars, but instead brought a sad end to one of the only storylines I’ve liked this season. Raj returned tonight for, I assume, his last appearance, and to say a tearful goodbye to Ivy.

We also saw a surprise twist in the Naomi/Jen/PJ triangle and learned something surprising about Annie’s new love interest, Caleb. Read on for tonight’s character breakdown.

Poor Phillip Wickes! He has a tough meeting because the steel industry is difficult business, with many companies wanting to use lighter, more eco-friendly materials, including the navy; and then he sees his best friend shot at a press conference. Oh, did I mention his best friend is the Secretary of the Navy Clayton Jarvis?

Last week on Justified we finally got what I personally had been waiting for which was an awesome Ava episode. She managed to have one of the biggest parts in what made that episode worth watching, and Boyd having one of his great speeches did not hurt either.

This week we are going to start feeling the close to this season. There is only three episodes left and a lot of loose ends that still need to be tied up with our characters. Lets see what happens.

All of the previews for this hour promised a shocking ending. And to be honest, I don’t think shocking would be the word I’d use to describe it. The last scene wasn’t all that surprising (more on that later), but what happened before it was a myriad of emotions… sad, frustrating, heartbreaking, and raw.

So, here we all are, at the spring finale of this amazing show. ABC Family says new episodes will be coming soon, but Fall 2012 isn’t soon enough for me! So let’s discuss what went on in the finale!
