Once Upon a Time
Hat Trick

The Queen is at her Evil best this episode – evil deeds done for her benefit but to the detriment of others. She goes the extra mile to achieve her goals – a mile that is littered with wickedness, malevolence, immorality, minions, and probably flying monkeys. Where’s the house from Kansas, folks?

In Fairytale, we follow impoverished Jefferson and his daughter, Grace, in their boring game of hide and seek. They arrive home to an unannounced visit from the Regina – on top of being evil, she also lack manners (Emily Post would not approve).

This leg featured a couple of television-friendly tasks that don’t necessarily make for great racing. One was on the scary side and the other was on the weird and kind of gross side.

One team makes huge mistake that costs them and ends in their elimination. Surprisingly, I’m actually sorry to see this team go.

Desperate Housewives – Recap & Review – Any Moment

Desperate Housewives
Any Moment

As we march towards the finale of the show, each of the housewives has a story that needs to be tied up. Unfortunately, this leaves very little interaction between the ladies, which is usually what makes this show interesting. Right now, they’re each leading their own lives with only Renee as a sort of go between/plot filler.

Susan is still dealing with her grief, Lynette’s trying to get back Tom, Gaby’s trying to figure out how to still live her fabulous life and Bree actually has family to deal with. And of course, there’s that pesky murder and cover-up that just won’t go away.

They say that “absolute power corrupts absolutely” and we saw what it did to Castiel when he was implanted with all the souls in purgatory. But what happens to that spiritual being when all that power is extracted? We assumed he exploded when the Leviathan walked him into the lake, but tonight we find out what really happened. Buckle your seat belts, we’re in for a bumpy ride!

We open on Sam running from something, but this time it isn’t clowns. It’s Satan, of course. Why they didn’t put “Running with the devil” under this scene, I don’t know. Too upbeat, I suppose. He comes across a drug dealer in an alley and takes him up on his offer for pills to help him sleep. Stupid! Things get really crazy at this point and he ends up getting hit by a car. How Dean slept through all that I have no earthly clue!

A Short Story About Love

Over breakfast, Nina can tell that there is something extremely wrong with Olivia. Olivia confides in her mother-figure that she is head-over-heels in love with Peter and, since he basically broke up with her, she is having an awful time of it. Not to mention that her memories may not even be real. The cortexiphan dosing, compliments of the lovely David Robert Jones, really did a number on Olivia, but the effects should be subsiding, right? Yet these projected false memories are taking center stage, slowly erasing Olivia’s real memories. Nina is very concerned, and Olivia promises to talk to Walter about it.

Meanwhile, a woman named Jane returns from her husband’s funeral to find a creepy stranger, who is a cross between Michael Myers (sans Shatner mask) and Bruce Jenner, lurking in the shadows putting on… perfume? She tries to run, but it thrown up against the wall by the perpetrator and for a moment, there is some sort of recognition in her eyes. She stops struggling and reaches up to kiss the man. Then she seems to come to her senses and screams for help before he kills her with strategically placed saran wrap. The stranger lays her on the ground and takes a sample of her sweat. Creepyville.

Merlin – Recap & Review – The Sword in the Stone Pt. 1

Merlin
The Sword in the Stone Pt. 1

Original Air Date: Mar 23, 2012

Melanie – TwoCents Reviewer

With a title like Sword in the Stone, referencing a significant event in the standard myth of Arthur, and coming as the finale of a season which opened with the amazing two part Darkest Hour, I think we can agree there are some expectations on this finale. Obviously, we’re going to get a (supposedly) epic confrontation between the forces of Morgana and Arthur, as well as a pivotal role in rescuing the future of Albion for Merlin. And with the return of Gwen in last week’s episode, can we expect their happy ending at last?

Once again Morgana is primed to strike at the heart of Camelot, and take her place on the throne. How will our heroes thwart her this time?

Now that we know Mary kept her baby and that she’s super adorable, it’s time for some baby fun. And the entire Albuquerque WITSEC office is in on it.

It’s no easy task though as it’s one of the busiest days they’ve had in awhile. While we do have a main witness of the week, we also see the return of another and another possible witness, making this a triple witness week with additional issues for Stan. I enjoyed this change of pace, so let’s get started.

Break On Through.  Wherein Alaric’s murderous wars are exposed, Stefan and Elena share some moments, and Damon takes part in a, dare I say it, mini-orgy with Rebekah and Sage.

It was a heck of a week folks.  It started with poor Alaric going stoically into the MRI machine where his reflection makes scary faces at him. Continue reading
