Thank you, Adam Baldwin, for restoring my faith in this show.

You played Detective Slaughter so perfectly. Like Castle, I think I needed a break from Beckett, and watching you interact with Nathan Fillion made Castle seem like a whole new show. Or at least, a really badass crossover. (Someone please get this man his own show.)

This being the third to last episode of the season, I was still really anxious about the way things are going with Castle and Beckett – and I know I’m not alone! What this episode was able to accomplish was a separation that was not permanent and worked really well for character development. Castle gets to stand up for what his team has taught him and approach the possibility of letting himself get over being hurt. And someone finally asks Kate what she wants.

It opens with a hobo finding a dead body.

Justin Hartley swoops in as a guest star this week and bears witness to two of the show’s main triangles spontaneously combusting. Amidst Lemon’s bachelorette party and George’s hunting trip, this episode delivered the drama we were all expecting after Lavon and Lemon’s indiscretion outside the Rammer Jammer last week.

I always like episodes of the show where everyone gets something to do. Here, we see Ted happy, Barney acting happy, Robin realizing her dreams, and Lily and Marshall…in a kind of awkward situation.

You’ll remember that Ted gave Marshall and Lily his apartment and moved into Quinn’s old place. Now he’s living alone and it’s actually pretty awesome. Try telling Barney that, though. All he cares about is dating a stripper.

This week’s death starts out with the birds falling from the sky, scaring the daylights out of a pastor and congregation talking of building on the very site of a landfill. We soon find our victim covered in a funky blue gunk and the team is trying to figure out just what it is.

Temperance is dealing with body issues, post baby and Booth is just trying to make her understand that he still finds her attractive and she perfect…but somehow she doesn’t seem to feel better and he just can’t find the right words.

Have you all done your tax returns yet? Well, Max hasn’t done hers yet, and, as it turns out, hasn’t been filing them for years. Also, Caroline offers to take care of Earl’s taxes, but Max accidentally throws out his tax returns. Will the girls be able to get their taxes in before midnight? Read on for tonight’s recap.

We open at the diner and find Max sorting through her messy purse. Caroline looks and finds a $200 check from an office party the girls catered. With this sudden new influx of money, Max jokingly announces to the diner that her waitressing days are over, and then gets a man some coffee.

Special guest tonight for DWTS Latin Night: Santana! Man, he can rock the guitar. And his musical interludes between dances were a lot of fun.

As for the Latin dances themselves, everyone did a pretty good job and a couple judges thought three in particular were perfect. Read on to find out who scores 10s.

Wow! What an episode this was! There was a couple of bombshells dropped that have me begging for the next episode already! This week, we get to see how the families of Fort Marshall are handling the deployment of their loved ones. We get to see Gloria who is still new to this whole Army thing and she is flustered throughout the whole episode.

We also get to see the return of Jackie. Don’t we all love her? Anyway, we also get to see juicy secret revealed about her in this episode that could ruin her husband’s chances at becoming the commander of Fort Marshall. We also get to see Roxy pushed into full gear because she is handling the kids and the duties that come along with being FRG leader. Continue reading

Is there any real suspense about whether Peter will run for governor? Not if the show wants to continue to call itself The Good Wife. The title implies a wife who sticks with her hubby no matter what.

And Alicia hasn’t really been doing that lately, has she? So while this episode held little suspense about Peter, it had to find tension elsewhere. It’s been a few weeks since our last episode and … oh yeah, Alicia was furious at Jackie because her mother-in-law had outbid her for their old home.

This episode, perhaps the funniest episode ever, shows the wisdom that comes with experience. Being young isn’t everything. For example, it won’t stop you from getting your butt kicked when you fight at the office.

This episode is also about making and having friends. Megan encourages Don to make friends. Pete doesn’t really have any. Lane tries to do business with one.

Art and JJ are ridiculous, annoying people who can’t seem to focus on their own race. In fact, the more they pay attention to other racers, they worse they’ve done. I am not rooting for them. But then, you might wonder who I am rooting for. At this point, nobody. This season has yielded a bunch of teams that range from very annoying to mildly annoying with two exceptions. One of those exceptions doesn’t make it to the next leg.

Despite the presence of a double U-Turn, this isn’t the best designed or most exciting leg. All of the drama comes from sight-seeing and the U-Turn. The tasks don’t provide an opportunity for passing. They take everybody about the same amount of time.
