First off, if you haven’t heard, Two and a Half Men was renewed for next season. Feel however you want to feel, and keep in mind the show has steadily lost millions of viewers, it will stay around. But keep in mind – Ashton still has to go shoot a movie. Whether he does it over the summer or not is not clear yet.

This week is the season finale, which includes Walden’s new business venture and high school graduation for Jake and Eldridge.

It’s finale time! After 5 seasons of backstabbing, lies, heartbreaks, break-ups, reconciliation and scandals, Gossip Girl brought us back full circle tonight with pretty much all of the characters back at square one. Well, maybe for a certain couple, things are not exactly back to normal…

Next year will be the last season (No!!!) and it looks as if the writers are bringing back the magic of season 1 to bring closure to everyone…

SMASH – Recap & Review – Bombshell

SMASH
Bombshell

Original Air Date: May 14, 2012

Lauren A – Senior Reviewer

I’ll be honest – my belief in Bombshell has faltered over the past several weeks. The season finale of Smash, however, gave me the same goose bumps I felt during the series premiere.

The opening of the episode has Tom and Julia frantically putting finishing touches on the new final number of Bombshell. They run their scribbled sheet through the gathering audience and backstage to the stage manager. We get a Marilyn-cam to show us Marilyn’s view as she makes her way to the stage amidst many a “good show”s, and takes her place for the opening. The lights get bright, the curtain goes up… and we still don’t know who’s playing Marilyn!

As Bluebell prepares for the Golden wedding of Lemon and George, Tom’s knee tingles. This apparently means a squall is coming and as the rain and lightning come down over our characters, hormones and emotions flare and cool.

New NBC Show Trailers

Check out the official trailers for some of the new NBC shows!

REVOLUTION
Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working? Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why? Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution: families living in quiet cul-de-sacs, and when the sun goes down lanterns and candles are lit. Life is slower and sweeter. Or is it? On the fringes of small farming communities, danger lurks. And a young woman’s life is dramatically changed when a local militia arrives and kills her father, who mysteriously – and unbeknownst to her – had something to do with the blackout. This brutal encounter sets her and two unlikely companions off on a daring coming-of-age journey to find answers about the past in the hopes of reclaiming the future. From director Jon Favreau (“Iron Man,” “Iron Man 2″) and the fertile imaginations of J.J. Abrams (“Lost,” “Person of Interest”) and Eric Kripke (“Supernatural”), comes a surprising “what if” action-adventure series, where an unlikely hero will lead the world out of the dark. Literally.

The series stars Billy Burke (“The Twilight Saga”), Tracy Spiridakos (“Being Human”), Anna Lise Phillips (“Terra Nova”), Zak Orth (“Romeo + Juliet”), Graham Rogers (“Memphis Beat”), J.D. Pardo (“A Cinderella Story”), Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad”), David Lyons (“The Cape”), Maria Howell (“The Blind Side”), Tim Guinee (“Iron Man”) and Andrea Roth (“Rescue Me”). Kripke, Abrams, Favreau and Bryan Burk (“Lost,” “Star Trek”) serve as executive producers.

Now I know that it wouldn’t be worthwhile TV if there wasn’t drama and action at every turn. But I really feel like our H5O folks could use a break. Couldn’t we have an episode where they go surfing and BBQ? And maybe not wear shirts? They can still do a car chase or a foot chase after some bad guy. Just dial down a little. Let us catch our breath.

I mean let them catch their breath… Find out how Season 2 hangs us off a cliff after the jump!

Bones – Recap & Review – The Past In The Present

Bones
The Past in the Present

Original Air Date: May 14, 2012

Karen – Sr Staff Writer
Karen@thetwocentscorp.com

The season finale is upon us and our dynamic duo is in a bit of a pickle as their nemesis, Pelant, is back on the scene and wreaking havoc. It seems Pelant’s lawyer is trying to get him freed, while Booth and Bones try to prove he is a crazed killer. His freedom is denied…for now, but that soon changes.

The body of an old friend of Bones is found in the woods and she recognizes the break in one of the bones as one that she had set to heal. Ok, now that was just a bit farfetched for me. I mean, how can you claim to be the person that set a bone to heal, just by looking at it? Note to self: next time I am at the doctors…
