Ryan is determined now to solve this mystery and has set up a bulletin board in the basement to figure it out – with said drawing as the centerpiece. His musing is interrupted – by Wilfred, of course – who’s decided to toss Bear down the basement stairs….

Finally, it’s Maeby’s first Arrested Development. I for one, was really excited for this episode to come up. Maeby was not in enough of the episodes leading up to this, so getting one just from her perspective was exciting. So let’s get to it.

The episode opens with Maeby making out with a guy named Perfecto on the school bus. They are on their way to a local college to get tutored in algebra. Her tutor? George Michael! But wait, why is she still in high school? Let’s go back to that fateful day on the Queen Mary.

If you haven’t been watching this series, I think you’ve been missing out. We’re on the third episode of this new USA series, so let’s do a quick catch up. Mike Warren’s new, right out of Quantico and is assigned to Graceland, a beach house in Southern California where agents from FBI, DEA and ICE live undercover. Mike’s also on a secret mission to investigate one of his housemates, Briggs (FBI).

Arrested Development
A New Attitude

Original Air Date: May 26, 2013

Gob’s second Arrested Development is pretty much insane, and insanely good. If you’ve been reading reviews like I have, you’ve likely heard a lot of negativity. I have heard that this episode felt like a lot of complexity for the sake of complexity, but I disagree. The story certainly has a lot of layers and misdirection, but I felt like it was pretty tight for the amount of story it told. Gob’s episodes have been the strongest ones this season, in my opinion.

In “A New Attitude”, the writers do with Gob what they have always done with Tobias. They straddled that line between funny and offensive in regards to the LGBTQ community, and they did it brilliantly. To paraphrase Ron Howard, this episode focused on two men who’d never loved anyone but themselves, Gob and Tony Wonder, discovering their “feelings” for one another.

James Gandolfini, Actor

The Sopranos star James Gandolfini has passed away. According to Deadline, the actor died Wednesday of a suspected heart attack while in Italy. He was 51.

Known to all as mob boss Tony Soprano, Gandolfini earned three Emmys as well as a Golden Globe award while on HBO’s The Sopranos from 1999-2007.

In a prepared statement, HBO said, “We’re all in shock and feeling immeasurable sadness at the loss of a beloved member of our family. He was special man, a great talent, but more importantly a gentle and loving person who treated everyone no matter their title or position with equal respect. He touched so many of us over the years with his humor, his warmth and his humility. Our hearts go out to his wife and children during this terrible time. He will be deeply missed by all of us.”
