Welcome back to Bon Temps and another season of True Blood, y’all! After all the twists and turns and cliffhangers (Tara!) of last season, tonight’s premiere answers some questions and in typical True Blood fashion, leaves us asking even more.

In the season opener, we find out what happened to Tara, Eric has a family reunion, we learn more than we ever wanted to know about werewolf mourning rituals (ew), Alcide gets an unwanted promotion, and Bill and Eric flee (unsuccessfully) from The Authority.

Our search for the next great celebrity chef/cook continues as a star among the winners, Guy Fieri, returns again to offer his own challenge to the hopefuls: film a live special with him! A super outgoing and strong personality, working with him puts several of our low-key hopefuls on notice.

So how do our hopefuls handle the pressure of a live performance with a professional like Guy? I won’t say it wasn’t painful!

Will SPIKE TV’s New Reality Series “Last Family On Earth” Determine the Future of Mankind?

photo: spike

If the apocalypse comes at the end of 2012, Spike TV will have a part in the re-population of civilization thanks to its new competition reality show, Last Family on Earth. The stakes could not be higher for the families who are vying for a spot in an underground state-of-the-art Vivos bunker that is fortified to withstand nearly any end-of-days disaster scenario.

Produced by Pilgrim Studios, the six-episode one-hour series will premiere on Spike TV this fall, with the finale airing just in time for the family to move into their bunker, built by Vivos, the leader in this type of structure construction, and await the world’s potential cataclysmic demise on December 21, as predicted by the Mayan calendar.

I have to admit, I missed the boat on “Hell on Wheels”. I hadn’t even really heard about it. Thankfully, the world of DVD is making it right now.

Hell on Wheels The Complete First Season is now on DVD and Blu-Ray and in my opinion, it’s a great show to pop in the player and catch up on this summer.

Not sure what the show is all about? Here’s the official release:

TwoCents and Five Questions with Cybil Shepherd

is she on your list?

Cybil Shepherd

Cybil Shepherd is no stranger to television fans. While she got her start in modeling and then movies, she will probably be most remembered by small screen viewers as Maddie Hayes. Opposite Bruce Willis’ David Addison, Moonlighting is one of the most iconic “will they or won’t they” shows in television history. She’s also starred in several other hit shows, including Cybil and The L Word. Her new show, The Client List, has her starring as Linette, the mother of Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Riley. She shared her views on her character’s future and her own in a recent interview.

TheTwoCents: Where do you see your character going now that the show has definitely been picked up for a second season?

TwoCents and Five Questions with Erica Durance (Saving Hope)

is there hope to be saved?

Erica Durance, Actor

Erica Durance will probably be mainly remembered for her iconic role as Lois Lane on the CW’s Smallville. She portrayed the strong news woman-about-town for six of the ten seasons of the show. Many might not know this about her, but she actually hails from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Almost all of the TV shows she has appeared on have had a sci-fi edge. Starting tonight, she will star as Dr. Alex Reid on NBC’s Saving Hope. She plays a surgeon whose fiancé is in a coma and she has to deal with all the ramifications of the situation. She had some interesting things to share in a recent conference call.

TheTwoCents: Can you talk about how you got involved in this show?

TwoCents and Five Questions with Cat Deeley

deeley

Cat Deeley, Host

The bubbly host of So You Think You Can Dance will be doing double duty this summer for Fox, hosting the network’s new celebrity dating show, The Choice. If you’ve ever seen SYTYCD you’ll understand why I adore Ms. Deeley. She’s always happy and excited about each dancer and she was just as excited to be on a recent conference call. Of course, she had just been nominated for a Critic’s Choice TV Award – her first – and was giddy as could be. Please enjoy what Deeley had a lot to share about her new hosting gig and juggling two shows below.
