TwoCents and Five Questions with Eric McCormack (Perception)

how will he be perceived?

Eric McCormack, Actor & Producer

When you hear the name Eric McCormack, you probably immediately think Will & Grace. Eric played Will Truman for eight years. Since the show ended in 2006, he’s been acting on various other tv series and the occasional movie. He has also recently been starring on Broadway in “Gore Vidal’s The Best Man.” He actually has quite an extensive theater background. This July, Eric makes his return to television in the TNT drama Perception. He plays Dr. Daniel Pierce, an eccentric neuroscientist who aids the federal government in solving their more complex crimes. I had the opportunity to participate in a recent conference call with him and he had a lot to share.

She Knows

Wyner C – TwoCents Reviewer

The premise of this show is a stretch but once you pass that hurdle, you’re in for one of the best hour in television. What’s not to love? Beautiful people, gorgeous clothes, witty dialogue, great writing, talented cast with tremendous chemistry – all set in the greatest city: New York. I know it’s not filmed in NYC and it’s apparent ‘cause streets haven’t been that clean since…ever. This show has it all (even a clean NYC)! I’m embarrassing myself so let me start…

Remember the anchor/worst-best-friend Trevor? The cliffhanger of Season One: did he reveal Mike’s fraud to Jessica? Yeah, that A-hole tattled like a sixth grader. He also told Jenny about Mike’s kiss with Rachel – leading Jenny to breakup with Mike.

The characters find themselves confronting the events directly after the Season Five finale – Fi surrendering herself to the FBI and Anson in the wind, waiting for Michael to track him down. There was something…missing with this episode. I’m not sure what it was. Maybe a number of small things that added up, or maybe it was the marked lack of intensity that has become more and more familiar since Jesse and his story arc was introduced. It was a good episode, but not great.

And… we’re back! Ok, we never really left, as this episode aired mere moments after the pilot. So, if you need a refresher of who is who, click here. Other than that, let’s jump right in, shall we?

If you thought the pilot was chock full of double crossing and blackmail, well, you haven’t seen anything yet. In fact, I may need a map just to keep track of who’s zooming who! So, without further ado …

Dallas is back! Sure there might be less shoulder pads and AquaNet, but there are still plenty of dramas, back stabbings, estranged lovers, and Stetson hats to go around!

I am an original Dallas viewer. I may have been in kindergarten when J.R. was shot, but it was appointment viewing in my household for many years. I watched most of the original run, but admit to losing interest around the “Callie” years. But time heals all grudges (unless you’re a Ewing), so let’s check in with our favorite Texans!
