At the end of last episode, Nancy looked to be heading towards the grave, and for a moment I really thought they were going to do it. Without Nancy in their lives, all the boys that orbit her would have not only a chance to go off and do their own thing like they’ve all at times wanted to, but also a chance to realize who they are outside of defining themselves by their relationship with Nancy.

But we find out immediately this episode that Nancy hasn’t kicked it- yet- but there’s something different about her. Will her family be able to cope with the new Nancy? And what is up with Andy and Jill?

Army Wives
Battle Scars

Original Air Date: Jul 8, 2012

Will – Associate Staff Writer

Army Wives never disappoints when it comes to the emotions that are displayed in this show and this weeks episode was no different. We pick up where we left off where Cody is staying with Trevor and Roxy for a while and Cody is not happy that his wife just left him out of nowhere. I completely agree with him because she left when the going got tough and that is what you don’t do in a marriage.

We also turn to another marriage that is in trouble and that is Hector and Gloria. Gloria is understandably angry at Hector because he cheated on her when she did not listen and quit the Hump Bar. This fight is also affecting Hector in Army and Trevor gives him an ultimatum to get his marriage fixed with a marriage counselor or get a divorce.

“Let not a man guard his dignity, but let his dignity guard him.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hmm, food for thought as usual. Is this part of what Wilfred represents? The guardian of Ryan’s dignity. True or not, it’s clear from the beginning of this week’s episode that Ryan still hasn’t learned how to say no to authority figures. Oh, and who gives a dog his own cell phone?
