How about that for an ending?! Holy season finale, y’all! After an inconsistent and often disjointed season, True Blood’s last installment before another interminable hiatus delivers quite a bit – a daring rescue, new lovers, creepy fairy births and lots and lots of bloody, sticky, disgusting death.

While we say goodbye to an old villain, the end of the episode introduces us to next season’s shocking Big Bad. And I can’t wait!

We’re already at the penultimate episode of the first half of season five. Time sure flies and knowing there are only nine more episodes until the show ends is sad, but exciting to see where it goes.

Tonight it was clear the end is nigh and with the DEA closing in and Jesse and Mike wanting out, choices had to be made for the future of Walt’s new business.

Dan said it best in this week’s live show: there are fireworks in the air! The house is turned upside down when one power duo is blindsided at nominations, one floater finally takes some heat, and two HGs leave during the live show. And Ian is just sitting back enjoying the show; with every major player protecting him, Ian is able to make big moves this week.

Frank and Boogie are targets in a plan requiring double duty from the game’s floaters amid a lot of crossed fingers and crossed wires. But don’t forget – it’s a fast forward week, so there’s always the chance for another shift in power…

Last week saw Team Westen unearth the name of Nate’s killer – a sniper called Tyler Gray – and also gave Fi the opportunity to slip free of her status as a CIA asset by hauling two of the Agency’s ‘finest’ from a massive screw up.

This week Michael turns to his mentor Card for help with tracking down Gray and sets into motion a high-octane summer finale with an unexpected twist at the end.

This episode reminds me of “I am a Walrus” by The Beatles – a drug-filled masterpiece. That’s right; I call that song a masterpiece. The song is a kaleidoscope of crazy and it’s beautiful – just like the hodgepodge of outrageous ideas that lead to an unlikely victory.

Ah, the powers of a good acid trip (for musicians) or a good ha-ha-hiiigh (for TV characters).

“Honesty and transparency make you vulnerable. Be honest and transparent anyway.” Mother Teresa

We open this week with the startling revelation behind the meltdown at the pharmaceutical company. The corporate spy responsible for the competition’s success is being represented by Ryan’s father and Jenna wants Ryan to get her an interview with him to boost her career. Ryan doesn’t want to, but he agrees to try, since he is responsible for the status of her career now. Oh, and Wilfred’s having trouble with a local “dobie” gang.

So You Think You Can Dance – Recap & Review – Season 9, Episode 11

The first week of All-Stars and I don’t even hear Neil’s name mentioned? Outrageous! I pray we see him next week. And Gev. They will never bring him back, but I can always dream, right? We did get to see Twitch and Alex which is a plus, and a less-than suspenseful bottom 4 with a predictable elimination.

Our opening group number is, apparently, a tribute to Gene Kelly. I’ve heard rumors that Gene Kelly was hard to work with and could be mean, but I choose not to believe them. Gene was beautiful and talented and masculine and I love him.

The guest Judge is Benjamin Millepied who married Natalie Portman. He also directed Black Swan which leads me to believe he is well-equipped to judge.

So, the all-stars are sticking around for the judging which is different. Always before they’ve danced, been acknowledged, and bowed off the stage prior to critiques. I’m not sure I like it because so often the judges turn their comments to them but they aren’t the ones trying to get votes. You know?

A Glee-sical Retrospective

Glee is four weeks away from its Season Four premiere. In anticipation of that I thought I would take a look back at the past three seasons discography and cherry pick my Top 12 favourites from each. Despite the fact that I have become a cynical, jaded Glee fan, the music has remained a steadfast reprieve from the actual, well, plot (if we can even call it that).

So here are my picks in no particular order for Season One, also known as the the season I went steady with Glee.
