This week’s episode is called “Compromising Positions” and well, a lot of people are caught in such a dilemma this week, most revolving around the law for Neal and Peter and some other things as well.

“Then she began to weep bitterly, and said, ‘What can a poor girl like me do now?’ ”

Grimm surely has its hand on the nation’s pulse. As pundits are discussing “legitimate rape” and politicians think the words “forcible rape” should be included in our legislature – all a reminder of women’s continuing plight for equality in the “modern world” – Grimm decides to show us what men, who use that kind of language, really think of the female body: a vessel for baby-making. Forget the intelligence and ideas the uterus-carriers possess.

My goodness, if only uterus-carriers can talk…no, wait…we can…if only the “legitimate/forcible rape” morons are smart enough to speak “women.” Sorry, I’ll get off my soapbox. This Grimm episode surprisingly unleashed my growing frustration. Must be my crazy uterus talking!

The Newsroom
The Greater Fool

Original Air Date: Aug 26, 2012

Patricia Morris Buckley — Sr. Staff Writer
pmb@thetwocentscorp.com

As The Newsroom moved into its season finale, it finally got up to the speed it should have been for most of the season. Finally we got pay off on items like Jim and Maggie, if Will will be fired and the well overdue slap down with TMI.

The episode began with Will going on the air and talking about how American citizens must have a government-issued ID to vote, but not all citizens have driver’s licenses. But we quickly cut away to eight days before when Mac and his guard find Will coughing up blood in his bathroom. Seems he took too many anti-depressants, but was it on purpose? (Probably.)
