“Ridin’ through this world, all alone”… Well at least since December! Welcome to season five of Sons of Anarchy! This season is destined to be great. All of the different avenues that Kurt Sutter opened at the end of season four is going to bring a new vibe to the show; good or bad has yet to be determined.

Last season we left off in a bit of a tough spot. Jax has finally taken his seat at the head of the table, most of us were wondering if he would ever take the gavel with how long Clay has stuck around. Opie and his role in the club is up in the air at the moment. At the end of last season he had just found out what happened to his father. Jax is staying and he has no idea why. Tara is hopefully going to embrace her new role as first lady. Gemma has had her crown taken away from her. Clay is at the table with no power after getting shot. Also we will be seeing how the rest of the club reacts to Jax taking the reins. Lets see how this goes!

So You Think You Can Dance
Final Four Performance

Original Air Date: Sep 11, 2012

Does anyone else feel like this season just flew by? I suppose it was the double eliminations. And my enjoyment of having Christina Applegate twice. Anyway, tonight is the performance finale! And for the first time, we get to pick two winners: a boy and girl. Too bad for people like Danny, Katee and other boys or girls that were the highest of their sex but there was only one winner that time.

Also, each dancer is doing five dances tonight. FIVE! Poor little kiddies have got to be exhausted after all that. Except that I counted six dances for some. Odd.

Apparently, despite his emotional freak-out, Ryan is able to go back to work without having completed the therapy sessions. He is also avoiding going home to his empty house which results in him keeping his assistant late to help him with important things like blind taste-testing pizza, pushing him around in his chair and playing goalie to his hockey star.

Meanwhile, he continues to antagonize Lauren by “stirring up controversy” within the group.

Covert Affairs – Recap & Review – Suffragette City

Covert Affairs
Suffragette City

Original Air Date: Sept. 11, 2012

If you are on Twitter, then you know there has been a lot of talk about tonight’s episode. Chris Gorham has been on a promoting binge as he had tons of interviews and even a meet n greet in NYC. Well, I am here to tell you that it was all worth it. The episode was on-the-edge-of-your-seat good. Gorham’s performance of Auggie being distraught over his friend and angry at those not believing in her was a powerful hour in my opinion.

Suffragettes were mostly women (but men too) that were frustrated by their social and economic situation. Sometimes the movement would have to become radical and militant if it was going to be effective. I wonder if they titled this episode to show how Auggie was determined to change the situation and prove that his friend is not a traitor. He stood up to his one ally and was ready to resign if he didn’t get answers.

Welcome back to everyone’s favorite mildly dysfunctional functional family. Where everybody talks, nobody completely listens, but every point is eventually made. Which is exactly what makes us love the Braverman clan!

Tonight’s hour culminates in the title-mentioned family portrait. The sole purpose of which is to capture that moment in time, which despite the flaws and problems that may lurk beneath it, it’s posed to be perfection. And being the Braverman world, there are of course a multitude of major and minor issues that still need to be resolved…

It’s an emotional episode this week as we delve deeper into Neal’s father’s past causing friction between Peter and Neal. The case of the week is really second fiddle to what’s happening with the season-long story arch, but made for some fun moments where the two stories overlapped.

We ended last week with Neal ready to watch the tape Ellen left with Peter and Mozzie. What did Ellen want him to see or learn?

Cartoon Network Greenlights Two New Series

new shows coming

Having scored its most-watched summer in its 20-year history across early primetime, Cartoon Network has greenlit two animated series conceived as part of the shorts development initiative underway at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, CA. Steven Universe, from Adventure Time writer and storyboard artist Rebecca Sugar, and Uncle Grandpa, from Emmy® Award-nominee Pete Browngardt, have started pre-production and are currently slated for a 2013 debut. Building upon the global success of recent artist-driven series like Adventure Time and Regular Show, both new series will further define the genre of homegrown animated comedies coming from Cartoon Network Studios.

Sugar’s Steven Universe is a coming-of-age story told from the perspective of Steven, the youngest member of a team of magical Guardians of the Universe. Browngardt’s Uncle Grandpa is based upon the Emmy®-nominated short of the same name and follows the exploits of Uncle Grandpa—everyone in the world’s “magical’ uncle and grandpa.
