Lifetime Renews Army Wives For Seventh Season

army wives

Ending weeks of speculation from anxious viewers, Lifetime has officially renewed Army Wives for a seventh season. The sixth season ended September 9th with no word on an official pick-up, sending droves of fans combing the internet for any news. And now they can breathe a little easier.

While no official return date or returning cast members have been announced, the show is expected to return in 2013.

From TVLine.Com:
“Army Wives is a very special program,” Lifetime EVP Rob Sharenow said in touting the pick-up. “It’s rare to find a series that connects with viewers and resonates so powerfully after six straight seasons, and we couldn’t be prouder to have it return to Lifetime next year.”

The X Factor – Recap & Recap – Greensboro

Yay! We get a new city, finally. We travel to Greensboro, NC where we get to watch Simon eat grits. Riveting.

But my favorite backstage moment was seeing Demi with minimal makeup. Hey – she’s really pretty.

We started off with 17-year-old Willie Jones, who had a weird haircut that reminded me of an MC Hammer doll. Demi called his style Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Then he surprised everyone with a country tune. He did “Lock the Doors”, the song that Scotty McCreery is famous for, although he didn’t have as good pitch. They’re impressed, but I predict he’s boot camp fodder. LA called him an “absolute original.” Simon said he had a “sensational recording voice.”

Wilfred – Recap & Review – Secrets

Wilfred
Secrets

“If we knew each other’s secrets, what comfort we should find.” John Churton Collins

The wedding is underway in the backyard and Ryan has invited Amanda, although I think he just lied to her already about telling people they were back together. At the very least, he hasn’t told Wilfred. Nor has he told Amanda about everything else. Meanwhile, Wilfred’s apparently having some issues of his own. Amidst a typical “dog” scene involving trying to clip Wilfred’s nails (you’d think she was being murdered by the way my Chihuahua reacts and my Basset Hound wasn’t much better) we find he is bothered by something Ryan’s not saying, but it’s not about Amanda.

Glee – Recap/Review – Britney 2.0

There is something symbolic about painting over a name on a brick wall, and recreating the downward spiral of a famous celebrity. There is also something entirely predictable about a Glee tribute episode. Usually it devolves into a self-indulgent escapade where RIB attempt to cram as many songs as possible by the artist into an hour, without nary a thought to story development. Brittany was the main focus of this episode and sadly it only showcased the incredible dissembling of a once funny character into a painful caricature.

Get your barbecue meats and sundae waffles ready because Parks and Recreation is back in business! Welcome to season five!

It’s only fitting that some of the city hall crew finds themselves in the nation’s capital after Leslie’s victory at the end of last season’s finale. While she’s primarily there to apply for a federal fund to clean Pawnee River, she’s also there to visit Ben who is handling a campaign. Along for the ride is Andy as he visits April, who is acting as Ben’s intern during his time in D.C.

Back in Pawnee, tensions are high among the staff as Ron takes on Leslie’s annual employee appreciation BBQ. Instead of activities and one-woman plays, Ron decides to make the usually fun event simple and only features barbecue meat.

I think we can all agree it’s great to finally have the Pawnee players back after a long summer hiatus. Here we go!

After a long summer, Up All Night is one of the first shows returning for the new fall season on the major networks. A good thing, too- it’s been more than five months since we last saw Chris, Reagan, Ava, and little Amy.

Last year, we saw Chris as a stay-at-home dad while Reagan put a huge effort into being the ideal working mom. It paid off, so I’m sure we’ll see more of that this season. It’s not like the Ava show is going to *Spoiler Alert* or anything.

Big Brother 14 – Recap & Review – Season Finale

Big Brother 14
Season Finale

Original Air Date: Sep 19, 2012

Lauren A – Senior Reviewer

We have a winner! Is it just me, or has this been one of the craziest seasons of Big Brother gaming to date? Even though the season finale means the end of summer and the end of Dan’s scheming, we were in for even more shocks, surprises, and moves in the final moments of the 3-month game.

The wack-a-doodle timeline caused by the coaches twist, Willie’s expulsion (yeah, remember him?), and then the other coaches twist meant we went into finale night with a final 3, not just a final 2. With Ian and Danielle both thinking they had exclusive rights to Dan’s wheeling and dealing, Dan was sitting pretty. The final comp of the 3-part HOH (and final eviction decision) came down to Dan and Ian. Dan, who convinced Danielle and Ian both to throw part one of the comp to him earlier in the week, looked like a giddy little kid on the live show. You could tell he was mentally spending that $500K even while Julie did her “BUT FIRSTS”…

The X Factor – Recap & Review – Kansas City, San Francisco, Austin

Haven’t we been to all of these cities before? They’re feeding us these audition stops in repeated small doses. But we did get some memorable performances and outrageous characters (some are both) in this serving.

KANSAS CITY

This is a first: Simon is sick. So sick he can’t do the show. Instead, his pal Louis Walsh, who manages boy bands, fills in (he’s a judge on the English X Factor). And while he’s also British, he’s no Simon. Unlike our favorite man from London, he loves everything. He’s an easier judge than Demi!
