Why hello there, Castle fans! It’s great to be back with a whole new season!

Previously on our favorite procedural crime drama, Beckett’s mother’s murder case really started to bubble to the surface, putting Beckett – as well as her relationship with Castle and her job – in danger. The season ended in an intense wrap up of Beckett resigning and then running straight into Castle’s arms.

Bones – Recap & Review – Partners in the Divorce

Bones
Partners in the Divorce

Original Air Date: Sep 24, 2012

Colleen – TwoCents Reviewer
colleen@thetwocentscorp.com

Tonight’s episode begins with two drunken men talking and arguing about booze and food. When they get to the steel drum that is on fire, they discover that is not food that is cooking but a body! Who did it? Why did they place the body where they did and place it on fire? Well, we will find out soon enough!

Booth and Bones are at home doing the domestic thing. Bones is cooking breakfast; pancakes to be exact. It is very unusual for Bones – I don’t remember her cooking. Booth is surprised that she has learned to cook during her time on the run with Christine. We are interrupted by the ring of Booth’s cell phone. We are off to the beginning of tonight’s case!

It’s finally time for Dancing with the Stars: All Stars! With the exception of Pamela Anderson and Sabrina Bryan, all the contestants finished in the top three in their respective seasons. So I expect a lot of good dancing and some harsh judging from the critics.

Speaking of a judging, there is a new approach this season. The judges will be able to award half points. I wonder if there is a .5 paddle. Bring on the Cha Cha and the Fox Trot!

Switched At Birth
Tree Of Forgiveness

Original Air date: Sep 24, 2012

Karen Belgrad – Senior Editor
karenbelgrad@thetwocentscorp.com

Forgiveness is a wide spread theme on tonight’s episode. Will Bay forgive Emmett? Will John forgive Bay? Will Daphne or Regina forgive Angelo? Will anyone forgive Simone?

And although we don’t get any firm apology acceptances, we do make quite the head-way on quite a few fronts. This hour was really more about set-up for future conversations and plots. So let’s cover what happened and where we think it will go.

The season 7 finale of HIMYM left us with some answers and quite a few questions. Some liked the outcomes, some didn’t. But in what may or may not be show’s final season, it’s about time to start getting some of those open threads tied for good.

Last we saw, Lily gave birth to little Marvin Waitforit Erikson, Ted took Victoria away from her own wedding, and Barney proposed to Quinn. We already knew Ted and Victoria won’t work out, and we learned that Barney will marry Robin. So what gives? Tonight we start to find out.

When looking at the Emmy ballot it is always very tough to make a choice.

You sit there and think to yourself – do I choose who I WANT to win or who the rational side of me THINKS will actually win?

We decided not to make the distinction.

On the following pages, you will see the winners according to the votes of our TwoCents family in two different categories. One for each cent.

Voting With Our Brains
We watch many of the shows. We skip many too. We DVR, DVD, BluRay, OnDemand, Hulu and iTunes shows. We read blogs, websites, magazines and newspapers about the world of TV.

Amidst all of this data, we like to consider ourselves more or less “in the know” about the world of television and the characters/actors within.

With all this information at our disposal we can put aside our personal preferences and truly vote for who be believe the Emmy voters will give the award to.

Voting With Our Hearts
For every show we DVR to watch later, we all have shows that we cancel all appointments for and HAVE to watch live.

We live and die with the characters. We fall in love and break up with them. We root for AND against them. We welcome new ones into our lives and bid farewell to dear departed friends.

Why? Because we LOVE good television. And with that love, we know who we would personally want to see win the award. They may not be the media darling, the best critically-acclaimed show, or have any chance to actually win, but we love them and that makes them winners to us!

Maria – Associate Staff Writer
maria@thetwocentscorp.com

Amy talks about the double life she leads. Life with the Doctor, and “real life”. She’s getting too old to arrive back at her flat to realize the milk is so out of date. Rory is needed at the hospital. Amy’s friends miss her when she keeps disappearing with the Doctor. The call to settle down is growing increasingly strong, as Rory finds himself saying yes to a full time position, and Amy finds herself agreeing to be a bridesmaid for a friend.

However, real life and life with the Doctor collides when suddenly, Brian arrives at Amy and Rory’s doorstop and tells them about the small black boxes that have suddenly arrived all over the world. Naturally, the Doctor is there too, and comments: “invasion of the very small cubes. That’s new.”

Welcome back everyone to the final season of The Office! I hope your summer was delightful. I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to see how all this is going to play out and eventually end. It’s been a long and sometimes painful journey. Let’s just jump right in then.

Erin is excited because Andy is coming back from his David Wallace inforced wilderness adventure today. Everyone is talking about their summers. Dwight concocted a new energy drink from beet runoff, oh and he’s not the father of Angela’s baby.
