This week’s installment of Parenthood was brought to you by its title. Everything was not okay. And that sentence works on two levels, because while the characters were facing their struggles, so were we as viewers.

What worked tonight, Adam and Kristina, Zeek and everyone, really worked for me. But anytime we heard the words wedding or vending machine, I really wanted to do something I never do with my weekly dose of Bravermans. I wanted to fast forward. So let’s break down the episode by the good and … not so good.

Season 2 opens with two brand new episodes! Aren’t we lucky?

Now unemployed, Jess has too much time other hands. She’s cooking. She’s cleaning. She’s making felt collages. It’s making Winston anxious because his mom and sister are coming to visit. Schmidt is anxious because he thinks Winston’s mom doesn’t like him. (And he’s probably right.)

I’m pretty excited that New Girl got a second season. Zooey let me down a little in her tv debut, but Max Greenfield really made the show stand out. And overall, I feel like the first season made a really good start.

I’m looking for to really flesh out all of the supporting characters and build a solid comedy base. Hence the name of this premiere’s title…

Wow… has there ever been an episode of this show before that so succinctly encompassed every character? We left off with Amelia’s “unicorn” baby, Charlotte-Cooper-Mason’s newly blended family, Pete going on trial for euthanizing a patient, and Addison finally having to choose between her two suitors.

And this hour we had answers and developments on every front. Throughout six vignettes, all of the characters were woven together through shared patients and conversations. New stories have been established, questions have been answered, and the small earthquake that rumbled our Private Practice gang will have aftershocks for these thirteen episodes (and maybe more if the show continues…)

I’ve always wanted to buy a life-size cardboard cutout of someone famous. Now, I know I want one of Ryan King. Or myself. I’m jealous that he has one of himself.

Now, the things is, I genuinely like this show—it makes me laugh. But what is the deal with Lauren, the therapist? How do these people accept her suggestions? Why is she upset that Ryan is okay giving away his wife’s things—like a sewing machine to Sonya? And not to be super morbid, but I did ask my sister-in-law the other day if she’d be okay wearing my clothes when I died. She is. And she didn’t even cry when I suggested it!! Couldn’t she be sad for a minute?

This weeks episode is sure to pack a punch. Jax, Opie, Tig and Chibs are in prison. Pope is going to attempt to get rid of them. Jax and Tara are now married as of the end of the last episode. Gemma seems like she is becoming closer to Nero then we may have all anticipated. Clay is still a broken man especially without Gemma by his side, he clearly has some issues as he keeps trying to get himself killed.

Kurt Sutter informed us earlier this week that we are going to be losing a major character this week. There have been many assumptions as to who is going to be gone after this week. Lets see what happens and who will be leaving us after tonight.

Dancing With the Stars
Week 1 Results

Original Air Date: Sep 25, 2012

Annette – Staff Writer
annette@thetwocentscorp.com

Because the normal one hour results show is not painful enough, we’re subjected to a two hour show tonight. And the first hour is not even a replay of last night’s dances. Instead we get to hear from the stars about why they returned to the show. Nothing profound came out of this and I cannot believe this took an hour.

Once the second hour begins, we get to the typical results show fair. Backstage looks at last night’s dances, musical guests and dancing by the pros and troupes. And finally, the elimination. Read on to find out who goes home first from this All Star cast.

In this episode, we find that Charlie is merciful, resourceful, guilt-laden, righteous, and a capable killer.

We start out in a flashback one week after the blackout. Ben and his family are going to leave the city and walk to the countryside. Ben’s wife Rachel asks Charlie to never let go of Danny’s hand and to watch over him.
