This episode picks up right where we left off last season: Kalinda waiting in an empty apartment in chair facing the door and a gun in her hand. But that’s just one of last season’s stories that we’ll get answers to this season.

This episode jam-packed a lot into it to not only catch us up on the year’s finale, but start to move other stories forward. Plus, we got a whole new story that meshed Alicia’s family with a court case. Let’s start at the beginning…

At the end of last season, the government charter jet carrying Victoria Grayson (Madeline Stowe) exploded just after takeoff, destroying all evidence related to Conrad Grayson (Henry Czerny)’s misdoings and presumably killing Victoria. Emily Thorne (played by the talented Emily Van Camp) also learned that her mother is still alive.

Season two starts with search lights on the ocean with divers jumping in. We quickly learn that this is a slight jump in time, 3 months in the future. Instead the expected wreckage from Victoria’s plane, we find “The Amanda”, Jack Porter’s (played by Nick Wechsler) boat destroyed on the ocean floor. A body is also seen floating in the water.

The pilot episode of 666 Park Avenue starts off with a symphony performance, focusing on what appears to be a violinist. He is being watched from box seats by a good-looking couple who are later introduced as Olivia (played by the beautiful Vanessa Williams) and Gavin Doran (portrayed by Terry O’Quinn). The violinist playing so fervently and under so much stress that his finger is cut and scarlet red blood drips onto his shoe, an ominous sign of what may be coming next. The Doran’s look displeased with this performance.

A taxi pulls up to a huge apartment building, shrouded in lighting.

TwoCents and Five Questions with Zach Gilford (Mob Doctor)

he can’t lose

Zach Gilford, Actor

When I see Zach Gilford, the first thing that pops into my mind is, “Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose!” Yes, Zach played quarterback Matt Saracen on the iconic Friday Night Lights, which I am a HUGE fan of, by the way. Now he is starring as a doctor and the troubled boyfriend of Jordana Spiro’s Mob Doctor. This isn’t his first time playing a doctor, last season he co-starred on the failed Off the Map, which I also thought was pretty darn good! During a recent interview, he filled us in on some of his insights into the show and his character. Please read on…

TheTwoCents: I’m curious – there was some allusion to the back story of your family. There might be some tension there. And, you know, it being a mob story, family’s really important. Can you speak about tension and where that all might sort of play out?

TwoCents and Five Questions with Jordana Spiro (Mob Doctor)

will she cave?

Jordana Spiro, Actor

Prior to signing on to become the Mob Doctor, Jordana Spiro was probably most known for her work on TBS’ My Boys. But she’s actually had parts on many, many other television shows, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dexter, and most recently, a long stint on Harry’s Law. She’s also appeared in movies such as “Must Love Dogs” and “Trespass”. I participated in a recent conference call with Jordana about her new show and was excited to hear all about her new experiences. Please enjoy!

TheTwoCents: You were in the Chicago set in My Boys, but you didn’t really come here and film a lot. How has it been working in Chicago on this and shooting?

TwoCents and Five Questions with Stephen Nathan & Hart Hanson (Bones)

Stephen Nathan & Hart Hanson, Executive Producers

Bones just entered its eighth season and it is still going strong. This season, the Bones/Booth relationship is being tested since she took their daughter, Christine, and ran to give the squints time to prove she didn’t commit murder. She put herself and Christine into dangerous situations and this did not sit well with Booth. No surprise there. I had a chance to talk to Stephen Nathan and Hart Hanson, the show runners and executive producers on a recent conference call and they had a lot to share about the current state of the show and the possible future.

TheTwoCents: Congratulations on Season 8 and congratulations on the subtle update to the opening credits and theme music. Why did you guys decide to do that? It’s only been seven seasons.
