Sorry X Factor fans — this week is going to be a total letdown.

Families are about balance. There’s a Ying to every Yang. Families, at its core, are dysfunctional; the Ying fights with the Yang but they need each other for balance.

At the Dunphy household, Alex is being mean – laughing at Claire’s inability to do crosswords, Claire’s love of Crap-TV, Luke’s inability to think. Claire recognizes the problem – Alex needs Haley’s meanness for balance. Cure = Skype.

What happens to Matsing? Do they get absorbed into the other tribes or are Denise and Malcolm left to face off against the other two tribes on their own? If I liked Denise and Malcolm less, I would probably hope that they would stay separate. But, as it is, I like them both hope they have the best chance to succeed, which would mean joining other tribes.

Also, I suppose it’s ironic in a season that features returning players who had to leave the game for medical reasons that someone has to leave for medical reasons. Either ironic or completely predictable.

Captain Cragen’s back with the SVU! And as far as he’s concerned, he wants to move on like he was never gone. He tells his detectives to play by the book from now on. At least he’s grateful for how they held the fort in his absence.

Our case of the week gets started when a businessman picks up a date for the night on his town car driver’s advice. The little fling comes to light when the car is involved in a collision. So does a barcode tattoo on the girl’s neck, claiming her as property.

As you might remember, Annie took off after Lena after getting shot in the chest and almost dying. While in Russia, she tracks Lena down and kills her, but gets caught and is imprisoned while knowing that the DPD will deny any knowledge of her being there. The opening segment of the episode sets the pace for the entire episode as it is fast-moving and intense throughout.

While in prison, her interrogator wants to know who the contact Mingus is, but as we all know …it is Auggie. Annie refuses to do any talking. I’ll tell you what; that gal has got some strong willpower and I definitely want her on my side in a crisis. Speaking of Auggie, he is proposing a rescue plan to Arthur, but he has a team on it and they just can’t come up with anything that will work.
