In the conference room, Andy shows the group a blooper reel from the office summer softball season. It’s basically Andy making a bunch of fart noises over a lame video. Jim wants to know why Andy didn’t show the video he made. Jim plays the video and it’s Andy trying to lift the giant jug of Gatorade, then falling backwards and spilling it all over his face. I like Jim’s video better and so does everyone else.

Nellie needs Andy to sign a recommendation letter so that she can adopt a baby. Andy won’t agree to sign it unless the letter says that she’d be a terrible mother.

Elementary – Recap & Review – Child Predator

Last week was Holmes-free due to the VP debate, which though it was hilarious I still missed my favorite detective. This week’s episode was pretty good despite the Dateline-esque title, partly because I was waiting for Chris Hansen to pop out of the shadows and ask Sherlock whether he knew how old Watson was and what he’d been doing in that chat room.

That didn’t happen, but we did get some creepy child abductions which are even creepier if you’re like me and saw Sinister this past weekend and a wee bit of Holmes/Watson bonding (the slash is meaningless, I promise, at least in this case), and a case that was a lot more interesting than the previous two episodes. More Sherlock after the jump.

Last Resort – Recap & Review – Voluntold

Last Resort
Voluntold

Original Air Date: Oct 18, 2012

Vincent C. – TwoCents Reviewer

The fourth episode of Last Resort seemed to simultaneously be more action-packed and also involved more speechifying than the previous two episodes. One week after the crew of the U.S.S. Colorado arrived at Sainte Marina, we learn that the island might hold some “magical” capabilities. Somewhat reminiscent of the island from LOST, but probably a lot less supernatural.

The episode starts with the U.S.S. Colorado running a missile drill. Chaplin is also training Shepard for eventual command. After the drill, they receive an Emergency Action Message from DC, informing the Colorado that Chaplin and Kendal have been officially charged in a court martial proceeding.

By now, the good doctors of Seattle Grace Mercy West should be experts at bouncing back from tragedy. They’ve (mostly) survived everything there is to survive, but, like the shooting before it, this season is allowing us to feel their healing process.

The activity of the hour circles around an offer for a plane crash settlement, apparently a life-changing large amount at that. Any guesses as to what the offer was? The catch is that the doctors must unanimously agree as to whether or not to accept the offer. Let’s come see how they reach the understanding.

Another Saturday Night

Caitlin – Staff Writer

Seeing as this entire show is based around how Chris and Reagan have had to change for parenthood, their boring Saturday nights are nothing new. But they do still want to go out on their weekends, and this time they’re actually going to do something about it.

They start by hiring an old babysitter away from some friends who are divorcing. Apparently, one you separate, you don’t need childcare anymore. Our heroes can’t wait to take advantage of that fact with Vanessa.

If there was one new show I told myself I would commit to it would be Arrow. The pilot delivered and also Stephen Amell’s amazing abs body acting skills grounded a character that sometimes did tend towards the cliche (those voiceovers need to be nixed or downsized am I right?).

While this week saw Arrow establishing last week’s thirst for justice precepts it also explored the more human side of being a vigilante for Ollie. And also China White made her much talked about appearance.
