“FOX hasn’t spent this much money since they took Simon Cowell tight T-shirt shopping,” said FAMILY GUY’s Peter Griffin.
“Finally I can get my hands on this guy!,” added Homer Simpson.

Josh Holloway is no longer Lost — you can find him on the new TV show Intelligence. Attendees at Comic-Con got a first look at the show’s pilot and hopefully, it will be the last time he is compared to his old character of Sawyer.
“His hair!” is what half of the female audience shouted on first sight of his new, shorter haircut. Yes, he’s no longer the cute bad guy Sawyer. He’s Gabriel, a cop in the future who has a computer chip planted in his head – sort of a cross between Chuck Bartowski and James Bond. Only much tougher. The hair really helps show an outward difference.

Last week on MasterChef, things got heated between Krissi and Bri. Really, it got heated between Krissi and every remaining contestant. Why is she mean? The chip on her shoulder is rather large for someone who hasn’t really stood out in any way this season, other than for being mean. Sure, she can cook, but her personality is standing out more than her food.
This week is a super interesting mystery box that finally allows Bri to shine without using the term “I’ve never cooked that before” and also allows Krissi to roll her eyes a few times. Always fun, right?
And did anyone else know there was a contestant named Bethy? I didn’t.
This morning Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) and Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) helped announce the nominees for the 2013 awards which will be presented on September 22 on CBS and hosted by Harris.
Be on the look-out soon for the crew at TheTwoCents’ picks for who will/should win. In the meantime, check out the full listings of categories below and choose your own! Leave your guesses/wishes in the comments. Happy Emmy nomination day!

It’s Comic-Con time! What we wait all year for. I like to call it Disneyland for grown-ups. But like any theme park, this event takes a bit of planning. Here’s my survival guide, honed from years of attending this pop culture mecca.
1. If you have to pick up your badge, get there really, really early. You’re going to have to wait in a line. The longer you’re in that line, the less time you can spend in a line for a panel. Dress in comfy shoes and forget the fur costume at home — lines often snake outdoors, where it’s very hot!

While the next four days are about panels, preview clips, comics, costumes, vendors and swag, Wednesday night at Comic-Con is previewing the TV shows that will air this year. If I learned anything after watching an evening of programming, it’s that sci-fi is reaching for the younger viewers.
THE TOMORROW PEOPLE (terrible title, right?) is about a group of kids with special powers and perhaps genetic mutations. Sort of X-Men meets Dawson’s Creek. Robbie Amell, who resembles a young Tom Cruise, plays Stephen Jameson, a kid discovering his new powers, his father’s part in creating the new species and of course, a pretty girl named Cara who wants him to fight with her. Even though it’s meant to skew young, there’s enough mythology that it might appeal to older viewers.
I recently had the chance to interview Brian “Q” Quinn as he was leaving the set of TruTV’s Impractical Jokers (Returns August 1, 2013 – check local listings.) currently filming their upcoming third season. We chatted about the Jokers and our mutual love for all things Hunter S. Thompson. Here’s what Q had to say.
TheTwoCents: First, congratulations on TruTV’s recent renewal of your show Impractical Jokers for a third season. That’s great news since the second season is set to premiere on August 1st. Can you tell us anything about the new episodes or any plans for season 3?

What does loyalty mean to you? I expect it from my family, my friends, and my team at work. If you’re not loyal to me, you’re not worth a penny. It’s a cruel way to think but I am a fiercely loyal person and I expect nothing less in return. In this world of “me-me-me”, loyalty is a luxury – it’s a hot commodity that’s hard to obtain and needs to be treasured. If there’s betrayal and the bond is broken, what happens to the relationship? Will it devolve into indifference or hate? Can there be healing? There are many broken loyalties/bonds to repair after last season: Jessica/Harvey, Harvey/Mike, Mike/Rachel, and Louis/Nigel. Let’s get cracking on the healing process or the further disintegration of relationships.
The merger is complete and as a sign of goodwill, the firm is named Pearson Darby even though Pearson holds only 49% of power. The name means nothing because in the same breath of declaring Pearson Darby, Edward Darby demands Harvey be assigned the Ava Hessington case – a high profile and secretly personal case to The Darbster. Jessica is against it but 51% trumps 49% in any fuzzy math contest.

Annie and Auggie head to Colombia to prove Henry wrong, Joan has surprising news and Arthur has a surprise of his own in the long-awaited season premiere. And, it was totally worth the wait.
The season starts on an intense elevator scene while Annie is on the phone with Auggie as he attempts to stop her from doing whatever it is she was going to do, and the scene ends with guns blazing. And, then BAM! We flash back to ten weeks prior to a different kind of intense scene between them. What I’m calling the best “morning after” scene I’ve seen in a while, which was so very perfect and includes a confession from Annie about what happened with Henry.
