If you are not a Meredith and Cristina devotee, this was not the episode for you. But if you are a fan of watching two of television’s most co-dependent, yet, inherently strong woman strut their medical stuff with their hearts on their sleeves, then you have come to the right place.

After the first episodes of the seasons stuffed to the gills with new interns, new doctors, all cast members, and new locales, I found this hour to be refreshing in its simplicity and directness. Meredith and Cristina are each other’s person, and tonight they were our people and focus.

Both have potentially career-defining patients, but both are dealing with emotional baggage.

So many things happened in this episode and only a few of them had to do with the performances.

First, Diamond White is back. I was aghast when she was cut last week because she reminds me of a young Whitney Houston in sound and a bit in looks. Thank goodness, like they did last year with eventual winner Melanie Amaro, they quickly realized their mistake and fixed it.

Second, we got to hear everyone’s sob stories as part of their “package.” Almost all of them seem to be poor and from bad neighborhoods and even homeless. Is that a requirement to be on the show?

TwoCents and Five Questions with Greg Daniels (The Office)

the office creator

Greg Daniels, Executive Producer

The Office has been a staple of NBC’s Thursday night line-up of comedies for nine seasons. It turns out this ninth season is it’s last. The show just hasn’t been the same since Steve Carell departed in season seven. A spinoff with Rainn Wilson’s “Dwight Schrute” has also now been scrapped and it’s pilot will be aired as a regular episode of The Office sometime next year. I’ll miss the show, but I think it’s best it go out before it lingers until people hate it. Greg Daniels, who adapted the originally British show for American TV and is the Executive Producer, had some things to say about the show and it’s final season.

TheTwoCents: In recent months we have seen some really smart comedies on NBC that are coming to an end. You know The Office as well as 30 Rock. Is there still room for these kinds of shows on NBC or on broadcast network in general?

TwoCents and Five Questions with Amy Poehler & Adam Scott (Parks & Recreation)

cutest ever?

Amy Poehler & Adam Scott, Actors

Leslie Knope (Poehler) and Ben Wyatt (Scott) make up one of the cutest couples on television! She, a city councilwoman, and he, a busy campaign adviser. Somehow they make the nasty long distance relationship work. He puts up with her craziness and she adores his awkwardness. On the last episode, Ben surprised Leslie with a marriage proposal. What will happen next? I spoke with Amy and Adam on a recent conference call and they had a lot to share!

TheTwoCents: The big emotional moment last episode was the proposal and it certainly played very emotionally as I was watching it and I was wondering if you could sort of talk through a little bit about what the vibe was on set that day and sort of what you all were feeling as you were shooting that scene?

TwoCents and Five Questions with Blake Jenner (Glee)

yes blake, you won!

Blake Jenner, Actor

Anyone who watched The Glee Project this summer remembers Blake Jenner. The charismatic young man won the hearts of many, but most importantly, the heart of Ryan Murphy. He won the show and was awarded a role on Glee! His appearances begin on tonight’s first new episode in over a month. Gotta love baseball and The X Factor! I talked to Blake on a conference call awhile back and was saving the goods for just this occasion. Read on and enjoy!

TheTwoCents: Let me ask you, from the start of the competition, did you feel like you were ready for Glee or did that evolve?

TwoCents and Five Questions with Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice)

will he find nate’s killer?

Jeffrey Donovan, Actor & Director

Burn Notice returns tonight for the explosive second half of its sixth season. Just last night, fans were overjoyed that the show was renewed for a seventh, although shortened to 13 episodes, season. Jeffrey Donovan was probably also quite pleased to hear this. Donovan plays the lead, Michael Westen, the burned spy who helps clients out of jams along with fellow burned spy, Jesse (Coby Bell), his trigger happy girlfriend, Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar), old friend, Sam (Bruce Campbell), and oftentimes, his mother, Maddie (Sharon Gless). In the first half of the sixth season, many were devastated when Michael’s brother, Nate (Seth Peterson), was gunned down in cold blood. The rest of the season will be about continuing to deal with the fallout of Nate’s death, Card’s (John C. McGinley) betrayal, and getting out of Panama. On a conference call recently, Jeffrey had a lot to say about the upcoming episodes and the future of the show. Please enjoy!

When these Winchesters want to share, they go big and all out. Dean and Sam’s reunion with Garth forces new and familiar grievances to the forefront while hunting a spectre.

Also it seems there’s a new Bobby in town (much to Dean’s chagrin) and he isn’t afraid to call the Winchesters on their shortcomings.

Yet another layer of Arrow and Ollie was peeled back this week. I have to say that I was beginning to doubt the show a little bit but this episode salved some of my concerns.

We saw Ollie trying to prove his innocence to a man determined to see him as guilty, and struggle with the trauma he has carried since his time on the island.
