The first episode of Elementary briefly teased the introduction of a certain canon character, much to Holmes’s morose-faced chagrin, and this week Flight Risk brought that full-circle. So far this season we haven’t really gotten many real glimpses into his past in England but this week we did, as well as a case involving a murder/plane crash/drug-smuggling mystery.

But let’s be honest, many of us are here waiting for snippets of canon to drop into our laps and it’s looking like we’re gonna get a big one soon. How big? Follow me and you’ll see, in a world of pure imaginat—never mind, after the jump!

Oscar has the camera crew follow him to a secluded location and asks them if they will be discreet about his affair with The Senator. Kevin overhears while simultaneously dropping his ice cream off its cone. He bends down to pick it up, of course.

Andy’s dad blew through all the family’s money and flew off to Argentina with a younger woman, while Andy’s brother has locked himself in the wine cellar. Jim and Pam can’t believe how competently Andy is handling this meltdown.

This time last week, X Factor had its Final 12. Fast forward to this week, and once again we have the Final 12, even after an elimination.

That’s because Simon brought back Diamond White, making the performance show a Final 13. But someone had to finally go, especially now that viewers have a say in the cut.

Desperate Measures/Means & Ends

I will sum up the Fall premiere of Burn Notice with these words: Fifty Shades of Grey. I’m not referring to terrible prose but something that the show does well, that is showcasing how Michael hugs the line between morality and descending into the monster people perceive he’s become undermining the Agency.

We pick up where we last left the show. Team Westen had been stranded in Panama with Nate’s killer, Tyler Gray due to Card’s betrayal and they need to find a way back to Miami.

This was the first episode that focused mainly on McKinley High and the result was a rather vehement ‘say whaaaat?’. If nothing else it really showcased the fact that the only reason I’ve been able to sit through an episode of Glee thus far is the scattered tidbits of Rachel Berry and Kurt Hummel in New York that help balance out the fact that I really don’t care what happens at McKinley.

I digress though. Auditions for Grease are happening back in Ohio and for some bizarre reason Finn Hudson is leading the charge.

Tonight’s episode reveals a tiny bit about the SEALs’ Pakistan mission and introduces a new monkeywrench for Colorado’s missile launches. The episode jumped a bit chronologically, but the recap will try to be more linear. (but not totally)

We start 3 hours after a chemical attack. Sam runs through the woods, his head is bloodied. He hallucinates speaking with his wife and tells her “I’ll be home soon. I promise.” Dozens of people are unconscious down by the river. Sonar operator Pitts is alive, but Sam can’t wake him up. Sam gets back to the main village and confronts Julian with a machete. Julian says that everyone has been drugged. It will take a few hours for the drugs to wear off. When Sam spots blood on Julian, Julian says that Sam’s friends had already been dead when he arrived. Sam walks into a building to find that two of the SEALs have been killed. Sam is then tasered by Julian.
