Dear TV Claus … From Vincent

For the month of December, the crew here at TheTwoCents.com will be writing our letters to TV Claus. A powerful being who transcends all beliefs to bring us the wonderment of good television. You’ll see a new letter to TV Claus almost daily here and we hope you’ll chime in your TwoCents to TV Claus too!

Dear Sir or Madam,

Greetings TV Claus. In my first year writing to you, I have a few wishes for your consideration. If some are wildly fantastical, it is because I am a firm believer in magic.

1. If at all possible, please convince the higher-ups at NBC to move forward the date for the Spring premiere of Revolution. Its current return date of March 25th, 2013 is a bit long of a hiatus. Four months?!

2. Tek Jansen! Scourge of the pistol-lords. Friend to the Jorabees. Neutral to the Slibs. This is a cartoon superhero character from the Colbert Report who debuted waaayy back in 2008. There were only a handful of minisodes, but it would be nice if there could be two more in 2013.

This week’s episode title comes courtesy of a line from Hank. Everyone’s dealing with a bit of “trouble in candyland” this week, since paradise wouldn’t be the right context for anyone except maybe one.

After a few emotional episodes in row, we get into the nitty gritty this week to wrap up two storylines that hit a peak last week, while another two emerge. With a theme of trouble going around, it seems all but one get resolved this week.

Welcome to the season 5 finale for Sons of Anarchy. This season came to an abrupt ending in my mind. 13 weeks just flies by way too quickly. This season has been a lot of twists and turns, and a lot of changes that are going to impact the club until this all comes to a complete close.

This week we have to find out what is going to happen with Pope and Tig. We are going to find out what or if anything will happen  with this retired US Marshall. There is still things that need to happen with the case for Tara and with what happened to the nurse and with Otto. All of this and only 90 minutes to accomplish everything. Continue reading

Now that Jess is employed again, she wants to have a bathtub in the loft so that she can relax and de-stress at the end of the day. I completely empathize with her. However, the guys all think it’s disgusting – valid point – and a waste of money. Schmidt is getting an important assignment at work – possibly due to his relationship with his boss, and I love how even though they’re not sleeping together anymore they’re cool with each other.

This hour will probably prove to be quite polarizing. I have a feeling viewers will either fully embrace it or completely hate it. Because no matter how much viewers love Cooper and Charlotte, many people simply cannot stand it when characters talk directly to the camera.

And this hour was almost entirely the Cooper-show. He narrated the hour by speaking his inner thoughts allowed to the camera. Other shows would have used voice-overs or simply let the characters actions speak for their thoughts. I’m not a huge fan of the broken fourth wall, but I am a Charlotte-Cooper fan. It’s quite the conundrum!
