Dear TV Claus… From Rachel

For the month of December, the crew here at TheTwoCents.com will be writing our letters to TV Claus. A powerful being who transcends all beliefs to bring us the wonderment of good television. You’ll see a new letter to TV Claus almost daily here and we hope you’ll chime in your TwoCents to TV Claus too!

Dear TV Claus:

Thank you so much for honoring my wish last year of a 6th and final season of Fringe! Please allow this final season to tie up nicely, and especially let Walter be happy.

And please let there be more and more Walking Dead. It is the best show on TV, severed hands-down.

Christmas is approaching and Olli is feeling a little nostalgic for Christmas past…. and I do love when a TV show has a Christmas themed episode. Ollie teams up with his sister in making some old memories of how dad used to decorate the house and have a holiday party come true.

But our episode isn’t all sugary sweet mistletoe goodness, as we seem to have a copycat of our superhero, only he is giving Arrow a bad name. I am most happy that we get more flashbacks about Ollie’s island life and a huge reveal in the very end!

No one had to tell the Top 4 that this was a huge night for them. Next week is the finals and finally one act will win the $5 million recording contract and have their lives changed – hopefully — forever. But of course, we heard over and over that this was “the most important night in their lives.”

Things will run a little different this week. Only one singer will be eliminated and so there will be no sing-off. And the judges will have no part in deciding who makes it to the last show.

Families are a mesh of personalities that work because they must. There’s no quitting a family – even exes are family with the obligatory air quotes. That’s why business with family is never a good idea – family and money are a volatile mixture.

Claire/Phil & Cam/Mitchell
Claire and Cam are cleaning up a field full of rocks, papers, scissors and snakes for Luke and Manny’s baseball team. If they build it, the pre-pubescent boys will come (sounded less pedophile-ish in my head). At least two teams will come – one of which didn’t expect to make it this far into the season.

After last week’s debacle at Pike Place Market, will the chef’s bounce back when they cater a party for Chris Pratt and Anna Faris?

The Quickfire features one of the the most famous restaurant reviewers of the past year. I’d be stunned if you could name her though. Click through and see who it is.

Final five. Will Malcolm stick with Denise? Will Mike and Lisa? Or will they take the “easy” way and keep Abi in the game? (Please, please, no.)

The only other things of note that happen in this episode are that some players got to swim with a whale shark and Denise was bitten by something and she has a really bad reaction to it. It’s a fairly boring and predictable episode. But! That shouldn’t stop you from reading this recap!

Our victim this week starts the show in some sort of “lab” wearing a Tyvek suit and mixing up something. I’m not sure what. He’s interrupted by someone he knows and who he tells to go home and get some rest just before being stabbed with a spear. Who? Why?

Meanwhile, on the rebound from Cavanaugh, Angela is upsetting Rizzoli by flirting with “everything that moves”, including the far too slick Detective Gibson from Auto – also referred to as “Lightening McQueen”.
