It seems my prayers last week for more eventful episodes of Elementary were answered this week, and then some. First off, Holmes has a love interest with a twin, with whom he has an “understanding.” Thankfully we were spared details. Why does this incarnation of Holmes have ladies everywhere? Well, in the sense that Captain Kirk only actually had like 2 ladies and it just seems like a lot.

Anyway the theft of some diamonds from an unbreakable safe largely distracted me from that when a man named Erlich shows up at the apartment to ask Sherlock exactly how the safe was broken into.

Oooh, Dungeons and Dragons! I’d be Amy this week – I wanna play! Sorry Penny, but it is a fun way to spend a Saturday night. I’d be a bit worried about playing with Sheldon though. I can just see him being soooo uptight about the rules. But I suppose we shall see. Howard is full of it, claiming he’s doing it to “save the marriage”, but Bernadette, although disappointed, seems like she’ll ultimately be fine with it. Sheldon’s right – while D&D is not what most people would imagine when they think “guys night”, guys do need some time together without their women sometimes.

I do think it’s going to turn out to be a mistake that Raj assumed bringing Stuart would be okay…

Up All Night
First Snow/The Wedding

Original Air Date: Dec 13, 2012

Caitlin – Senior Staff Writer

With less than two weeks before Christmas, Up All Night gives us two last episodes for the holiday season. Presumably, these will also be the two last episodes before the show goes on an extended hiatus and returns as a multi-cam sitcom.

Snow is always a fitting way to set seasonal feeling, especially since little Amy has never seen the stuff before. A wedding, too, encompasses the feelings of joy that come with the holidays. That’s assuming out motley crew doesn’t turn it into a disaster, of course.

Sam goes on a personal mission to find his wife Christine. Usually, renditions take roughly 3 days. Since it has been two days since the hostage crisis, Sam has only one day to find his wife. James helps. Will Sam rescue his wife? Will they live happily ever after?

On the island, the blockade is causing severe shortage of food and medicine. Chaplin receives offers of friendship from two unlikely sources. Will he accept either?

Dear TV Claus … From Barbara

For the month of December, the crew here at TheTwoCents.com will be writing our letters to TV Claus. A powerful being who transcends all beliefs to bring us the wonderment of good television. You’ll see a new letter to TV Claus almost daily here and we hope you’ll chime in your TwoCents to TV Claus too!

Dear Mr. Claus-

I’m new in this thetwocents family, but I hope you’ll still take my wishes into consideration and not brush them aside as the wishes of a naive child who doesn’t know any better.

1. I’m really concerned about the fate of Henry Spencer from Psych. He’s my favorite character and it’d mean a lot to me if he was okay.

2. A Saved By the Bell Reunion. I will never stop wanting this.

3. While we’re at it: just a reunion. Don’t try to follow in the steps of Boy Meets World. I sincerely hope the new spin-off will be successful, but it would be awful if all my old 90s shows tried this. Fresh Princess of Bel-Air? Gross. Just one spin-off, please.

BREAKING NEWS: LA Reid has decided not to return to season 3 of X Factor. Anyone going to miss him? Anyone?

Back to our regularly scheduled review: Narrowing down the Top 4 to the Top 3 seemed like a no brainer. Even Simon seemed to think Wednesday night that the finalists were a done deal: Tate Stevens, Carly Rose Sonenclar and Emblem3.

But this is reality TV and anything can happen. And it did.

After last week’s intern-palooza, this week’s installment is much more focused on our core characters, with a smattering of interns thrown in. Throw in a wedding, family drama, and the great shoe debate of 2013, and you’ve got quite the jam packed hour.

The hour wasn’t all high-strung drama, there was actually a little bit of farce thrown in for good (?) measure. So let’s get to chatting about our winter/fall finale and share our wish list for what we want to see when the show returns in January.
