ABC Family Cancels Bunheads

As reported by TVLine:

Monday, ABC Family announced that it would not bring back Amy Sherman-Palladino’s beloved hour-long show for a second season. A critical and cultish fan favorite, the whimsical show about a displaced Vegas showgirl and the quirky, idyllic ballet studio in Paradise, California that becomes her home never found a following significant enough to justify keeping it on the air.

“Bunheads is a wonderful series that we are very proud to have aired,” said a ABC Family spokesperson. “The series had amazing storytelling, the most talented cast and a passionate and loyal fan base. Recognizing all of this, we took extra time to try and find ways to bring the series back for another season, but in the end it simply wasn’t possible. We wish the cast and crew the best in their future endeavors.”

I am so upset about this show being cancelled. This was a bright and witty show with great characters. So disappointed to have lost this for more shows that are just the same old thing over and over. OH…. let’s create another “Liar” show. NOT!

It such a shame that they cancelled this show. They took a great show full of humor and fun and replaced it with another show that they already had. The dancing and stories tying in together was fantastic. The cast had a good chemistry showing through the screen. They need to realize that we don’t need the same show on pretty little liars is a fantastic show you didn’t need another one just like it to come on.
