Original Air Date: Apr 15, 2013

Tonight’s show begins on a somber note. Tom (who is from Boston) and Brooke extend the thoughts and prayers of all those at Dancing With The Stars to those that are affected by today’s tragic bombings in Boston at the Boston Marathon.
But we go back to business now. The couple with the celebrity prepares to dance side by side with a returning professional couple. How does this work? The returning professional couple will start first, and the couple with the celebrity will join in, doing the same choreography at the same time. It will end with the couple with the celebrity. Tonight should be an interesting night. What do you think of this?
Our couples start tonight’s show with a dance to “Don’t Stop The Party.” Looks like tonight’s show is going to be just that – a party! I cannot wait to see what happens. What did you think of tonight’s opening number? I liked it – they even got some easier moves for D.L. and Andy to do since they are not the caliber to the rest of the stars.
The first couple to dance this evening is Ingo & Kym. They will be dancing side by side with Tony & Emma.
Ingo & Kym – ChaChaCha (7 7 7=21)
Len said they were able to keep up with the stamina and energy of the dance. They need to take more care, however.
Bruno said they have to have better timing. There were a lot of technical problems.
Carrie Ann said it is not easy and is intimidating to dance with the professional couple. Ingo needs to watch below the belt.
The second couple to dance this evening is Jacoby & Karina. They will be dancing side by side with Maks & Anna.
Jacoby & Karina – Jive (9 8 9=26)
Bruno said great timing and very sharp. However, they have to work on the kicks and flicks.
Carrie Ann said they hammered that jive.
Len said they light up the place. However, they have to work on the footwork.
The third couple to dance this evening is Victor & Lindsay. They will be dancing side by side with Tristan & Emma.
Victor & Lindsay – Viennese Waltz (7 7 7=21)
Carrie Ann said it was a victory. Victor channeled his emotions well which added another dimension.
Len said this was better than last week. Well done.
Bruno said it was elegant. Timing was good.
Personally, I did see the improvement of Victor this week. He was really able to channel his emotions and the breakup with his girlfriend and use it for good. I had some reservations with the behind the scenes tape, but he did well.
The fourth couple to dance this evening is Alexandra & Mark. They will be dancing side by side with Tony & Witney.
Alexandra & Mark – Samba (8 8 9=25)
Alexandra sent out a tweet during the break, dedicating her dance to those in her hometown of Boston and to those affected by today’s tragedy.
Len said they were right in sync with the professional couple.
Bruno said Alexandra has come into her own.
Carrie Ann said dance is a sexy thing and it came out in her dance. Alexandra did falter a bit and it seemed that they never got it back.
I never did see the falter, but then again I wasn’t really watching for anything like this to happen. It was very thoughtful for what Alexandra did, don’t you think?
The fifth couple to dance this evening is Sean & Peta. They will be dancing side by side with Tristan & Chelsey.
Sean & Peta – Quick Step (8 8 8=24)
Bruno said tonight Sean turned into a swan.
Carrie Ann said it was beautiful
Len said this week he was a pigeon instead of being a statue. This was Sean’s best dance so far.
The sixth couple to dance this evening is Kellie & Derek. They will be dancing side by side with Henry & Ana.
Kellie & Derek – Fox Trot (9 9 9=27)
Carrie Ann said that she loved the idea that Len came up with of the side by side challenge.
Carrie Ann said she thought that other than the little misstep, they did wonderful for their first ballroom dance.
Len said that they put the “oo” in smooth. They keep dancing like this and they will be in the finals.
Bruno said it was a sophisticated elegance.
The seventh couple to dance this evening is D.L. & Cheryl. The will be dancing side by side with Sasha & Chelsey.
D.L. & Cheryl – Tango (6 6 6=18)
Len said it was too mild
Bruno said D.L. became a romper stomper. It was a brace attempt.
Carrie Ann said that there was a lack of technique but D.L. was focused.
I thought that D.L. was too stiff. This wasn’t a good week for him.
The eighth couple to dance this evening is Zendaya & Val. They will be dancing side by side with Maks & Ana.
Zendaya & Val – Argentine Tango (10 9 10=29)
Val said that both Val and Maks have never danced the Argentine Tango before this past week in practice.
Val dedicated their score of 29 to the people of Boston and those affected by today’s tragedy.
Bruno said that Zendaya was the ultimate femme fatale.
CarrieAnn said that every move Zendaya made had a story.
Len said it was a gem of a dance. Well done!
I liked their dance. It was very good, don’t you think?
The ninth, and final, couple to dance this evening is Andy & Sharna. They will be dancing side by side with Sasha & Emma.
Andy & Sharna – Passo Doble (6 6 6=18)
Carrie Ann said that Andy’s entrance was the best she has ever seen.
Len said it was more Pasadena than Passo Doble but it was fun.
Bruno said it was indescribable.
I liked Andy’s entrance, but the rest of the dance, I am not so sure of. What did you think?
