The general theme of this episode focused on sisters and their relationships with each other and we even learn a bit about the fathers and relationships with their daughters. Unfortunately Annie is pulled away from a marathon that she was going to run with her sister. Poor Annie, she wants nothing but to spend some time with Danielle, but at least Danielle understands…a little bit better.

Arthur Campbell never ceases to amaze me with the way he can pick up on when someone is lying, but I guess that is why he is in charge, right? I don’t know about you, but I smiled and even got a bit tingly when he said: Joan, call in your team. He knows who the best is, and it just sounded so right.

Like I said, the main focus is on the daughters of a traitor that is imprisoned. Annie is told to get close to Grace who visits her father every week, and Annie’s sharp intuition tells her that Grace is not the bad person that spy headquarters is telling her she is.

Joan wants Annie to lie to Grace and Bebe and try to drive a wedge between the sisters, but Annie is quite disturbed by this request because she saw how close they are and sees their close relationship to be a lot like hers and Danielle’s. She actually stands up to Joan and backs out of the mission by standing up for her beliefs! I have a feeling that was the first time someone said that to Joan.

The intriguing conversation for me took place in Danielle’s kitchen as the girls talk about dad. What do we know about Mr. Walker? Where is he, and what lies has he told the family? And as the siblings disagree on…who was the favorite? 😉

I was glad to see Joan come to her senses and let Annie handle the case as she feels fit, but I was a bit bummed that she couldn’t talk to Auggie as she wanted to. Annie has come to rely on Auggie for advice and just a shoulder to lean on, but unfortunately he was with Jai at the time. I will talk about that later.

Through some honesty, Annie gets Grace to contact her sister, but only to have Bebe hold Annie at gunpoint where a pretty good girl-fight went on in the barn. Thankfully Gracie knew to do the “right thing” and helped Annie arrest her sister. The scary situation finally got Annie thinking; she asked and was approved for weapons training. About time!

The surprise of the night was when Jai asked Auggie to join him for a beer. Auggie, being the good guy that he is accepts the invitation even though he knows something is up. Seems Jai has resources and a healthy budget but can’t get anything done and asks Auggie for advice. Auggie tells him that it is not about how much money you have, it is a people driven agency and he just needs to hire some good guys.

We later find out that Jai took some of the guys that were Auggie’s team of men. When he confronts Jai, there is some heat rising from Aug and trust me you don’t mess with the Aug-master! But when Auggie says not to ask him for advice again, Jai had the balls to say that it was the last time he will need it. I guess the apple doesn’t fall far.

Favorite Auggie moments;
When Jai invites him to fancy place for drinks, he says he will bring his evening cane.
Also, the smart remark about not wearing any fragrance, since that is how Aug knows when Jai enters the room. I like to imagine he wears something awful like Aqua Velva.

Auggie telling Annie that he knows she had some riding ribbons because it was in her file, and that it is creepy he knows so much. Annie replies she is getting use to the creepiness.

When the surveillance team can’t find Bebe, Auggie says he might as well be looking for her, himself.

So what did you think? Were you screaming at Jai for being a bas##rd to Auggie? Are you glad Annie is finally getting weapons training? Leave me your TwoCents.

This time I agree with you completely. It was a good episode. I’m not sure I like the new Jai. He is quite the bast**d. The apple doesn’t seem to have fallen far.
Once again Auggie seems to have the best lines.
For some reason I am very surprised that parents of Annie and Danielle are not a close family unit. But maybe that’s why the sisters are so close – out of necessity.
That Annie and Danielle have richly tapestried pasts is not surprising. The military kids I’ve known always seemed to be well traveled and well versed in a variety of pasttimes. Horses are every girls dream.

I really hope they dive into that storyline of Walker family some more next season. If we are lucky, maybe we will learn more of the Anderson family too.

  2. This was a great episode, I was total shock of what Jai did I couldn’t believe it goodness of Auggie come to meet with Jai for Drinks and give him advice on how he should run his Special Projects job and right under his nose took his tech men and when Auggie confronted him oh man what a major diss! If I was Auggie I would have punched him out. Okay getting back to the other story line with Annie’s mission this was definitely close to home for her. WIth the relationship between her and her sister and also with her parents as well. We get a little bit into on what happened to their parent’s marriage! We know their father was from the military but don’t know the whole story what happened in their marriage and the issues the daughters have with their father and it explains a lot of why Danielle feels the way she does when it came to Annie’s job as the CIA, and Annie’s own personal issues. I hope the writers will get into more of a backstory of their parent’s especially their dad who was in the Military. That will be good for us fans to know. I’m glad that Annie stick to her values when it came to this mission it really hit hard and try to tell Joan and make her understand why she didn’t agree with her methods on handling the stragedy of the mission about driving the wedge between the two sisters. Glad Joan came to her senses at the end when they met at the Tavern. I have come to like Joan and respect her as boss and person who can be there for Annie and guide her on her missions on what is the best course of action. I know Joan sees a lot of her in Annie that is probably why she likes Annie and respect her! To bad Annie couldn’t talk to Auggie I know she needed him but he was meeting with Jai! That was a waste of time for him because he doublecrossed him!

I was so shocked when Annie said no to Joan, I think Joan was as shocked as me lol and when she asked her to do the job her way, but get it done, I knew Annie would tell Gracie the truth. I love the way she uses her intuition, her beliefs and her very high emotional intelligence to do her job but stay honest and true to herself. The fact that she didn’t have Auggie when she most needed him but still managed on her own is also a plus in her favor. She is her own person and she is grounded in both her worlds.
As for Jai, he duped Auggie and me! Though both of us should have known better lol Auggie’s lines were awesome Haha! And Karen, maybe Jai doesn’t wear fragrances, but I’m sure Sendhil uses something as manly & exotic as him 😉 LOL
Oh and yes, I like that Annie will finally get a gun, she is very good without it but sometimes the tricks they had to pull to get her out of trouble were getting a bit stretched, to say the least. Now it’ll seem more believable.
ok, I’m done. Can’t wait to see the last 2 eps.
