So the second week back we get 2 more special guest stars, Vinny from Jersey Shore & Billy Ray Cyrus! Well, this show certainly has a way of finding D-list stars to fill their show every week. So what did we get from the regular cast members this week? A gay wedding, a crazy poker game, drug addicts bonding, an ode to Marilyn Monroe, and a future political scandal.
So read on for this week’s character breakdown.
Naomi/Austin- Naomi gets a personal chef to make breakfast for Austin, but he says he has to leave for Vegas for 5 days. Well, Naomi can’t possibly be by herself that long so she invites all her friends over to Vegas to surprise Austin. Austin is later shocked to see Naomi in Vegas. Austin explains that he doesn’t want to be in town, but his dad (Judd Ridge aka Billy Ray Cyrus) wants him there for a birthday party. Naomi tries to get into Austin’s party but they say she isn’t on the list, so she sneaks her way in by pretending to be a Marilyn Monroe impersonator. She later sings “Happy Birthday” to Austin at the party. Austin’s dad, Judd, is basically a huge to jerk to Austin & everyone around him and it’s clear why Austin didn’t want Naomi around. Naomi later chews out Judd but Austin tells her it’s not her place to defend him and she’s only making things worse. Um, okay? So Judd is basically the worst and I hope I never have to see him again, but knowing this show they’ll make him a recurring character. I still don’t really care about Austin & Naomi’s relationship either so that’s that.
Teddy- Last time we saw Teddy, he was fighting with his ex Shane. Tonight, they got fake married in Vegas! The wedding was actually really sweet. Silver set it up as a “no stakes dress rehearsal” since Teddy was saying that he didn’t ever see himself getting married since he came out. Shane & Teddy swapped vows about being brave and celebrating with friends. They later both agreed to not tell anyone about the wedding since “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”…or does it? Silver accidentally sends video of Teddy’s wedding to her politician boss Marissa & as we saw in the preview for next week, everyone finds out. We’ll see where that leads Teddy & Shane the next couple weeks.
Navid- Navid is still trying to get his uncle carted off to prison with the help of a cop named Kat. Amal says he has a package that needs to be delivered in Vegas, so Navid calls Kat and says they have something to finally pin Amal on. After a couple scenes where he loses and gets back the package, Kat hooks a wire up to Navid. Navid hands the bag over to a random guy, but there is nothing in it. The man tells Navid that the package was a test and he passed, which means we get this storyline for another couple episodes. Please calm all your wild applause.
Liam- After Liam gets into a private pool party because of his “celebrity” status, he meets up with Vinny from Jersey Shore. Now, I never caught his name (if he even had one), so we’ll just call him Vinny for this recap. Vinny invites Liam to a private poker game, where he loses $80,000. Liam makes some of the money he lost back by the end of the episode. Vinny wasn’t much of an actor and the scenes where he was trying to be intimidating were just so strange and awful and that’s saying something for this show.
Dixon- Dixon tries to curb his ADHD addiction all through the episode. He almost gives in at the end, but Adrianna shows up to stop him. Dixon & Adrianna then kiss and head to the bedroom. Annie later comes by Dixon’s room and finds the drugs. Dixon admits that he’s a drug addict to Annie & says Adrianna was there when she wasn’t. Annie later tries talking to Dixon about rehab.
Annie/Ivy- Ivy shows up at the bar for a couple seconds to say she’ll be visiting Raj. Annie finds out that her boyfriend’s convention (the Regional Asset Allocation Convention) is in Vegas, so she plans on surprising him. The only surprise she gets is seeing Patrick kiss another girl. So that may be the end of that relationship.
So another week goes by & for another week I don’t enjoy any of the storylines. Did you guys like any of them? Do you find think they’ll ever run out of random celebrities to put in the show? Leave your TwoCents in the comments below!

I actually liked this episode, and the Annie/Patrick storyline isnt over yet. Its obvious when Annie told Patrick that she misses him at the end that shes going to use him possibly for money to help Dixons drug problem.
Adrianna has become a nice character on the show again and i really wish she were treated better by the rest of the group. Annie needs to apologize to her! Dixon and Ade are a couple now by the looks, they look good together.
Does anyone even care about Raj? his cancer storyline takes a backseat all the time and all we hear about it is random updates from Ivy but nothing enough to make us really care.
The Teddy storyline is boring and i never really liked him in the show. Naomi/Austin also bit boring. Navid storyline bit boring and Liam doesnt even have a storyline…posing for photos again next week and being told about how “amazing” his abs are? Austins abs are better than his.
I stopped enjoying this show mid-season 1 (Meg can attest to that..if she weren’t off saving the world..hehe) but came back last season to cover it a bit. This season is the worst of them all. They’re freshman in college and off partying in Vegas like there’s no care in the world? No talk of fake IDs or anything? The writers don’t even try to make it somewhat realistic anymore. Vinny wasn’t playing himself – or if he was, he was downplaying his accent. But you are right, he never said his name. Putting aside the fact that Annie is essentially a hooker, how can she be surprised (or upset) that Patrick is with another woman?
