They’re back! Annie, Auggie, Joan, Jai and Arthur…they are all back, and I am a very happy camper! Yes, the final 6 episodes of season 2 have begun, and we get to find out what Annie is going to do, now that she has moved out of her sister’s house.
This episode also sheds some light on Jai and what is going on now that he knows about daddy’s dirty dealings and the fact Joan transferred him to Phoenix.
Ok, so Annie moved out of the guest house on her sister’s request, but the phone call Danielle makes, asking her to get the rest of her stuff before the week-end was…HARSH…AND COLD! Danielle needs to get over it! She finally lightens up in the end after Annie apologizes to her.
One of best choices the show has made is having Santiago Cabrera as the guest. He played Zavier, a chef that Annie gets to know better at first by chance, but later on assignment. Zavier has such an easy likeable presence on the screen and was a joy to watch. I really liked him and Annie together and would like to see them as a couple (just for a while).
I was impressed with Annie’s look of sheer terror when Zavier’s brother caught Annie in the apt. Perabo has come a long way with developing Annie and does a wonderful job with the character. I also like that USA Network has a strong, smart female character as the lead. I loved that Annie put in her own safe in the new apt. and am sure plenty of men found that to be quite sexy. But then they have her walking down an alley, knowing that a car is following her and she gets kidnapped. BAM! There goes the smart theory. C’mon Annie…Woman Survival code #6 – never walk alone down an alley.
As for Jai, I was very happy to hear that he wants to do the right thing for his country and his conscience. I was so afraid he was going to follow in daddy Wilcox footsteps. But my heart broke for him when his own father said; it’s hard to believe you’re actually my son. What a SOB that man is!
According to an interview with TV Guide, Sendhil Ramamurhty said that Jai will have a big arc in the final 6 episodes. Jai will no longer be sitting in the background like we are used to seeing. Well he was correct. My surprise came at the very end as we all get the impression that Jai is leaving (for good) as he packs his box of belongings only to move down the hall into a nice comfy office. The sign on the door read; Office of Special Projects, and he is reporting to the DNI (Director of National Intelligence Arthur’s boss). Turns out he is a chip off the old block, as his plan all along was to piss daddy off so he would pull some strings to get him out from Arthur’s thumb. It worked and daddy Wilcox is so proud. I have no idea what Jai’s plans are for the following 5 episodes but I will say that I am intrigued. I am still holding out hope that Jai meant what he said about “doing the right thing.”
Highlight of the episode was of course an Auggie moment. Near the end of the episode when Auggie does a little peek-a-boo through his fingers, I can’t help but think Gorham did that for his female fans (and some male fans) who loves his Facebook picture. He is Christopher Gorham Fan Page if you are wondering and yes he updates it himself, and yes you have to be a FB member.
So what did you think of the episode? Did you like Jai’s storyline? What do you think he is up to? Did you like Cabrera as much as I did, and would you like to see more of him and Annie? Leave me a comment.

I loved all of the Annie/Auggie moments at the back of the ambulance – especially the better close your eyes line and follow-up.
I haven’t decided if I like the new Jai or not. Definitely not what I expected from him. There seems to be a need for someone nefarious on shows like this and Jai would make a very handsome one.
I think “not what I expected” is the best part. I love when we get the unexpected!
This was a great episode! I’m really intrigued what Jai is planning to do about the information about the leaks and if he will turn on his father and or not and also what else has on his sleeve! I hope when the final 5 episodes come I hope his character do go to the dark side like his father Henry Wilcox! Watching the actor who plays him does a tremendous performance but the character I can’t stand him! I hope Jai does something about him! Plus I loved all the Annie/Auggie moments my favorite was when Auggie take a peek to see where Annie was going to her safe house! I have a feeling he is going find her safe house and go there!
thanks for reading and visiting Lynn. We are in for a fun 6 episodes!
I enjoyed the episode. But it made me really nervous. Jai is apparently comfortable playing politics with Henry’s treason in the background. I’m really dissapointed in him. Henry Wilcox is a ticking time bomb – he is way past his prime. He’s gotten away with a lot, but sooner or later someone like Annie, who “will” do the right thing, is going to see something, put two and two together, and the resulting buracratic explosion is going to have bits and pieces everywhere – would make for an amazing season finale.
I was dissapointed by Annie’s lack of situation awareness in the alley. Even a civillian knows better than that. She can’t be walking with someone to where she is living because nobody can know where that is apparently. They call it her safe house. What is it? Government furnished safe house for CIA employee? She is expected to have both this and an apartment? Can someone explain what her housing status really is? I’m confused by the whole safehouse situation.
I was really happy to see her install her own safe. That was cool.
I wondered the same thing ..do they have a safe house AND apt??
by the way…welcome back Fitch. 🙂
I love the moment in the ambulance and the bottle opener her gave her came in handy! LOL Although the bit in your review about alleys, Annie’s trained to be Xena so it’s doubtful she was concerned about walking down an alley.
Xena…lol. Ok, you’re right 😉
Sahweet November has arrived!!! And the “return” ep did not disappoint! Looks like Annie’s trying to make herself a fresh start by moving into a new place, while Danielle is still trying to come to terms w/ lil’ sis as a CIA agent. I hope she at least lets Annie spend time w/ her nieces once in a while.
Not quite yet understanding what Jai’s storyline will reveal altogether, but it’ll be good to see how THAT story unfolds! (I agree, his dad’s just a “little” abrasive.)
That Zavier character needs to be a RECURRING character, oh fo sho. 😉
Overall, a great performance by Piper! Adorable Auggie, no matter how much or little his scenes are- always gets my attention (him doing the little hand “peek-a-boo” cracked me up b’cuz I have that Emmy Ad! Lol)!
Next week- ARTHUR OUT ON THE FIELD, baby!!! Can’t wait!
Thanks, Karen- great to be reading your reviews again! It was MUCH too long, it seemed! 😉
thanks Kris, I agree with the comment about letting her spend more time w the neices. Danielle was just too cold.
Not much to say besides what all of you said. Just that I was thrilled to enjoy the scenes in Venice filmed really on location and not on a set 🙂 I have no idea what’s up with Jai, he is so slippery lol
That sweet peek-a-boo scene was my favorite in the whole episode. Lovely! 😀
As for Xavier, I like Santiago ever since he was in heroes with Sendhil 😉 he is definitely a pleasure to watch and I have a sort of sentimental connection with him because he used to live in my country when he was a kid 🙂 I always wonder if he still remembers a word or two. Haha!
YAY, glad to see ya Crys! I didn’t know Santiago lived in Romania. Very cool.
