Three New Episodes of SNL Coming in November

SNL this November

Saturday Night Live will air three back-to-back new episodes in November beginning on the 5th through the 19th with two first time hosts and special musical guests.

Charlie Day makes his hosting debut on November 5. Day currently stars in the hit FX comedy series, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” He was most recently seen in the summer blockbuster comedy “Horrible Bosses,” and will start production later this year on the highly anticipated Guillermo Del Toro movie, “Pacific Rim.”

Maroon 5 returns for their third appearance as musical guest. Maroon 5’s latest hit “Moves Like Jagger” reached the number one spot on the Top 40 and Billboard Hot 100 charts. Gym Class Heroes’ Travie McCoy will also join them to perform “Stereo Hearts.”

Emma Stone will return for her second appearance as host. Stone will next be seen in “The Amazing Spider-Man,” based on the classic comic book series. Recently, she garnered attention for her role in the box office hit, “The Help,” and was last seen opposite Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling in “Crazy, Stupid, Love.”

Coldplay will return opposite Stone for their fourth appearance. Coldplay’s forthcoming album, “Mylo Xyloto” has already spawned chart-toppers, “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall” and “Paradise.”

On November 19, Jason Segel makes his first appearance on the SNL stage. Segel currently stars in the television series, “How I Met Your Mother.” His latest film “The Muppets,” is due out November 23, which he also co-wrote and produced.

Florence + the Machine will return to SNL for their second appearance as musical guest. The Grammy nominated band will release their sophomore album, “Ceremonials,” which is already garnering critical acclaim with their latest single, “Shake It Out.”

Interested in seeing Charlie Day and Jason Segel, and I’m hoping Emma Stone gets better writing than she did the last time out. I think about sending her a check every time I think of how she had to get through that contest winner sketch.

I was surprised to learn Jason Segel had never hosted, so interested in seeing that, too and the other hosts. Hope the episodes pick up in November.
