Elimination night for week 3 is upon us. After a very emotional night of dancing last night, it’s going to be very difficult to send someone home, but that’s the name of the game.
Remember, Ricki is at the top with 27 points with J.R. and Chynna tied for 2nd with 26 points. At the bottom is Chaz once again with 18 points. Tonight’s elimination is a bit of shocker. So who gets sent home? Read on to find out.
Encore Dance: Chynna & Tony
Macy’s Stars of Dance: Estelle singing “The Twist” with a surprise guest – Chubby Checker himself! This is where I brag and say that I once got a hug and a serenade from Chubby Checker! This was also Len’s big dance moment which just turned out to be a minute of twisting. BUT you can see how he was definitely a Latin dance champion – he moves his hips so easily (and how dapper did he look in his all black suit with the red lining? I love Len).
Musical Guest: Mary J. Blige
In Jeopardy: Carson & Anna, Hope & Maks, Kristen & Mark
Eliminated Couple: Kristen & Mark
I was shocked by this elimination and the judges didn’t look too happy either. As much as I longer some of the other contestants, Kristen was a better dancer and deserved to stay around a little longer. I’m not sure if she would have been able to compete with some other better dancers like Ricki, J.R. and Chynna, but we’ll never know. She could have gotten better given the chance. How about you readers – were you shocked as well? Leave me your two cents.
Next week will be movie night. Each pair will dance to movie music. The gimmicks continue.

I was more than shocked, it was very unfair if you want to called that way. I wish people stop voting as a popularity contest; sorry but Chaz because of his knees can not dance.
It was unfair. She was a much better dancer than a lot of those that are left. As much as I like Carson and David, one of them or Chaz should have gone home before her. Even Hope should have gone before her.
As I was watching Mark Monday night, I was suddenly reminded of his somehow taking Bristol to the finale, and wondering if Chaz gets too much further in the competition will people start screaming about conspiracy theories and rigged voting again? And I think I recall hearing some backlash like that already . . . but I agree, he should go home because he cannot dance. At the same time, Kristen’s “year to remember” was completely unremarkable and unrelatable — I decided to give up college to become a reality show famewhore? Please! No wonder she didn’t get the votes; most of the people that would’ve watched her shows don’t watch DWTS. She was even on a recent episode of ANTM. I don’t recall if you were the recapper that said Mark should’ve given her the benefit of his experience and told her she needed to step it up, but even if he did, that’s probably all she had.
