We have finally arrived to the season finale, and what a doozey it was! It started out fantastically as Wendall says; “I’m about to Brennanize you.” But then we swiftly move to Bones telling Angela that she is very concerned for her and the baby and can hardly think of anything else. I know for a fact we would not have witnessed such a confession from her a few years back, this is a good sign.

I also have to say I smiled as Max catches on to B&B being quite pleasant with each other at the diner. He knows something is up and there is something different between the 2 of them. We all know what happened in last week’s episode and I know some are saying they did sleep together and some are denying it. The ending of the show tells us what really happened. So back to Max…the dead dude was on Max’s bowling team and so Booth goes undercover as a fellow bowler with an excited Tempy going as the girlfriend. Let me just say: Booth looked like Joe Dirt and Temp was a Olivia Newton-John look-a-like of Sandy when she went bad in Grease. I had to laugh at Booth and that really bad hair.

At the bowling alley we meet little Miss Pippi Longstocking who is a total nutcase of a child and is getting on my nerves. Then came clue number 1: Bones saying that if she and Buck (Booth) had a child they would not let it be like Pippi. Clue number 2 came when she mentioned it again and Booth agrees, saying “no way would they have a kid like that (Pippi)”. All the while, we see Max sitting back and watching B&B interact and he knows they “did it” and trust me…he is happy about it. As most of you know, Emily is pregnant is real life and I could see it in this episode. Her chesticles were looking much more voluptuous, and I could see a bit of a baby bump. Congrats Emily!

Meanwhile we have Angela and Jack in the hospital finally dealing with contractions and labor and the lab and ….too much. Shut the darn computer off and concentrate on this baby! Jack does another great yell for his keys before heading out the door. I just wanted to scream at the screen “Angela! Take the epidural!” But I guess she didn’t hear me. Instead, she goes thru some painful contractions and unfortunately it is Jack that has to lose his chest hair because of it.LOL.

PUSH, PUSH……I am not going to go into the special moment Jack and Angela have just before the baby, but trust me it is mushy, loving and everything you ever want with that special someone in your life!

The baby is born!! It is a boy and they name it…drum roll…. Michael Staccatto Vincent Hodgins. A nice little tribute to our deceased intern and yet dad is happy too. Then we all wait on pins and needles to find out if the baby is ok…Yay! His eyes are fine and so is everything else about him.

As Booth and Bones walk home and Booth is telling her that it is the happiest moment in the Hodgins family right now and babies are special. A concerned looking Bones tells Booth that she is pregnant and it is his! CONFIRMED, for all of those who were in doubt. I am so happy to see Booth smile and be happy about it. Because if he had a grim look and the writers were going to add more drama to this couples lives I was going to scream!

Ok, so we finally get the news that they did sleep together, who had doubts? Did you like how Max was watching them? Can we love Jack/Angela any more than we do? What do you think will happen next season?

We thought she looked like Sandy from Grease too. I thought they both looked hilariously cute.
It was nice to have a funny, more light-hearted one for the season finale.

I knew she was pregnant in real life, so I was hoping they would write it in and not hide her all next season.
I was happy that she told him right away and that he smiled! It was a perfect ending. Last season’s ending was so depressing.

Am I the only one who feels like they want us to imagine the entire show.  We got more affection when they argued than when they had sex.  This is BS.  I want some dialogue, some touching, some romance or affection of some kind.  They act that all we care about is the story line…sure I’m glad they’re together and it certainly is convenient to use EDs pregnancy.  If HH had of listen to any fan input he could have started this firestorm a little earlier and gave us some entertainment.  It’s like reading the last page of the book then trying to imagine it scene by scene.  I’m really pissed.

I think instead of a natural conception, Brennan used Booth’s “stuff” to be artifically inseminated. To me that’s a much more logical explanation.

I liked it. It was subtle, but they rolled into this (no pun) as they have everything. They are still going to argue (about child rearing, religions, schools, etc) because normal people do.

I like it that they didn’t do the passionate hot sex scenes and that it happened during a comforting time after Vincent’s death.

Booth was the target. They both know that…and I think their making love came as naturally as their disagreements. They’ve been building them to be more cognizant of the other and it finally happened…and in a way, this was no big deal to either of them…they haven’t professed undying love.

They just love each other. It’s left shoe right shoe and I think the passion will come in spurts from now on and a majority of that passion will be sparks flying on who’s right and who’s wrong, the baby, the name, everything they’ve argued about before….with a twist….

    They love each other openly.

The thing that cracks me up the most is that Booth and Bones had their disguise as a time warp of the 80’s. The writers had to of had fun writing that part. Booth with that gawd awful hair mullet and bleached out jeans crack me up. The hair all sprayed up on Bones probably would have caught on fire if there was a a hot sex scene…lol.Remember those 80’s? Aqua Net was the hairspray of choice!

What I was wondering during the episode was if Booth and Brennan were being awkward with each other because they had sex but then kind of went back to their every day B&B lifestyle – so neither of them really knew where the other one stands. Was it love or just sex? So I thought that Max was sensing that awkwardness. I wish Booth would have shown some display of affection when she told him her news – a kiss, a hug, a spin-around lift? Something?

    • Karen says:

Well , if we are lucky…next season will start with them still on the sidewalk and the conversation continuing. I agree a spin around kiss would have been nice. And it was love sex that is for sure!

I thought it was a major cop-out. It makes me sad to think their first time was when bones was emotionally troubled. that doesn’t scream “Romance” to me…Plus I dont really think having a kid should be the reason (its not the sole reason, obviously) that these guys are in a relationship. I dont think they are in one now because Booth was still “mad” and bones is randomly “cold and distant” So im actually reallly unhappy with the way things have unfolded…I’m probably not going to be keen in watching next season if they continue to act like b4, but with a kid out of wedlock. Or better yet booth will think that a one-night stand will change bones into a homemaker, baby incubator. I have been a fan of this show for so long that this “great” finale severely ticks me off. I wish i was happy with this major cop-out but i cant make myself like something so icky. We watch tv to get away from real life, so why cant booth slowly but surely sweep brennan off her feet? why must they have a one night stand and a kid?….
