Wow! That is the only word that is needed to describe this episode. This is was an excellent episode. I just think Brick is so precious!

This episode is all about Brick needing a friend. He has never had one and he doesn’t know how to get one.

Bricks perky counselor thinks that Brick’s social problems is caused by poor parenting at home. Frankie is determined to help Brick find a friend. Meanwhile Axl has decided to start his own band with some of his friends. Axl goes on a mission to get his Biology teacher to participate. Now we have Sue. Sue amuses me every week without fail. Sue has decided that she is mature enough to go see an R-rated movie. She asks Mike but of course Mike tells her no. This isn’t the end of Sue.

While Frankie ignores the counselor and says that she can raise her son the way she wants to, Brick requests a friend. I say request because Brick expects Frankie to find him a friend on her own. While Frankie searches all over town and parks for friends; Sue decides to go see the movie. She tries to dress all professional but the braces don’t help. The idea is that she will look old enough to get in and it works despite the braces.

After some looking around and a child screaming “stranger danger”, Frankie finds a friend for Brick and his name is Gerald.  Frankie sets up a play date with Brick and Gerald. Brick and Gerald like each other but Frankie scares Gerald off because she is trying to hard. Meanwhile Mike finds out that Sue went to the movie and he confronts her and she falls apart. It was so amusing to see Sue punish herself by giving up her privileges herself, so it made Mike’s job easy. Meanwhile after a few days with no phone call from Gerald, Frankie gets suspicious and she calls and gets the excuse that Gerald is sick. Frankie ends up following Gerald’s mom around to see what the real story is and she gets into a minor car accident with her. The good thing that came out of this was that Brick meets a new kid that witnessed the car accident and he makes himself a new friend. Frankie is so proud.

In the end, Axl’s hit new single wasn’t all that popular and his dreams of fame fall apart. Brick is happy with his new friend and Sue keeps punishing herself for weeks after her punishment is up. Brick is so precious and innocent but Sue as always makes me laugh the hardest. Do you think Brick will keep his friend?  What do you think of Sue punishing herself? Give me your two cents.

I hope to never see Kristen Cavallari (the “hot teacher”) on any of my primetime shows again. It was bad enough watching her on “reality TV.”

I think this show is doing great. It’s getting better with each episode. Love it.

I didn’t really have a problem with Kristen Cavallari, it added a good story line to use with Axl. I feel like the show hasn’t been focusing on Axl or Mike as much as it does on all the other characters.
