It’s Valentine’s Day on the Biggest Loser ranch. That means lots of chocolate and temptation. What happens when someone has a chance to turn the game on its ear? It’s getting very interesting up in here.
We pick up directly where we left off last week; right after the elimination.
Ali brings in the ranchers and they see that Larialmy was voted off. Before they can really react, Ali tells them that they are no longer in two person teams. It’s red (Unknowns) against black (Ranchers). They change into their colors and go right into a temptation.
The room is all done up for Valentine’s Day and is full of chocolate candies. What is greater, the power of love or the love of power? Each individual will have 3 minutes alone to eat as much as they want. Whoever eats the most pieces will have the option of swapping two people on their team with two on the other team, or they can keep things the same. The winner will be kept a secret. Five people eat: Q (4 pcs), Rulon (5 pcs), Marci (10 pcs), Moses (21 pcs), and Arthur (35 pcs!!). Most mention that they want to keep things the same.
Not the winner though. Arthur swaps Jay and Jenny for Sarah and Deni. What?!? He switched their strongest with their weakest. What is wrong with him?!? He owns up to it out loud and everyone is furious. He basically sees Sarah and Deni as lambs to the slaughter. Major tension. But the teams welcome their new members with open arms.
The next morning, all the trainers are astounded at Arthur’s move. Jillian explains to him that he really screwed up and has just painted a huge target on his own back. He finally gets it and he cries. Both teams are now training in the gym together and it causes some problems. The red team is very loud and the black team is more zen. Causes major chaos and both teams think they are the fittest.
At the challenge, there are five stations. Endurance, speed, agility, strength and knowledge. The first team to finish and solve a final puzzle will win videos from home. They each choose who is going to do what. In the endurance round, they have to push a boulder up a hill blindfolded while their teammate guides them. Next is the speed station, where they must stack up 6 feet of bricks. In the agility round, they have to put five dishes of food in calorie order. This really stumps the red team and they don’t get any farther. At the strength station, Arthur and Jesse have to each balance on a telephone pole while carrying a log together. Arthur falls once, but they get through it. Finally, in the knowledge round, Hannah has to shoot an arrow into a heart. She gets it first try and the black team puts together their puzzle for the win. Go black!!!
They share their videos with Bob and Jillian. It’s so sweet to watch. Deni gets to see her daughter get married. Arthur’s kids are so cute.
At the weigh-in, all trainers are present. Losing team will send someone home. The red team is up first. Here are their results:
Jay – 14 lbs
Jen – 14 lbs
Austin – 10 lbs
Ken – 14 lbs
Q – 7 lbs
Rulon – 12 lbs
Justin – 10 lbs
Kaylee – 5 lbs
Moses – 11 lbs (Biggest Loser record! 100 lbs in 6 weeks!)
Total = 97 lbs – 3.43%
Now black:
Sarah – 10 lbs
Deni – 9 lbs
Arthur – 9 lbs
Jesse – 11 lbs
Courtney – 10 lbs
Marci – 13 lbs
Olivia – 16 lbs
Hannah – 9 lbs
Irene – 12 lbs
Total = 99 lbs – 4.38%
Black wins!! At least Arthur is safe this week. The red team gear up for the elimination. They can’t choose Jen, she’s the Biggest Loser. Will they finally get rid of Q? Or will they eliminate Jay? With a vote of 5 to 1, bye-bye Q. To date Q has lost 92 lbs. He’s enjoying working out with his wife and takes her to the gym for Valentine’s Day to show his commitment.
I’m glad that the people left in the game are serious about what they are doing. I just can’t get over the motivation I get from these people. What a great group we’re left with! What do you think? Any favorites yet?
