I swear to (insert religious figure here) that this show makes me hate where I live. ::sigh:: Chin and Kono are driving through Chin’s old beat. They get to have a chase! A guy is speeding down the highway with a suspicious package, Kono gives chase and a cop car chases both of them. The runner flips the car and the box falls out, it doesn’t look like he’s gonna make it. And all the cops walk past the box, until Kono notices it and it’s leaking blood. How much you wanna bet there’s somebodies head in there?

McGarrett: “What happened to the courtesy knock?”
Danno: “Oh, I think it got played out along with the high five and the bro hug. You want me to do it now?” Danno is delivering McGarrett’s package, it’s supposed to be a piece for Steve’s dad’s car, but it appears he got played. They go to the crime scene (and have an awesome quip back and forth about being in a TV cop fantasy), Chin gives them the low-down. Max makes an appearance (love him!), Danno turns away but Steve just grabs the head out of the box. The guy on the lam is dying, and Steve can’t get anything more than a name out of him. Two John Doe’s!

The team is trying to figure out who everyone dead is, when Danno starts calling the head in the box “Jack,” which elicits groans from everyone. “Too soon?” Followed by another severed head pun, tee hee. Kono questions the man who rented the car that was used to transport the severed head. He doesn’t really have anything to offer, and he seems innocent (but we know better?). Max doesn’t have a lot to offer in the way of ID, and they are running into a lot of dead ends. Chin is jumpstarting the GPS from the stolen car, and gets an address that belongs to an office building. Max offers up something useful, so Steve and Danno head over and Steve uses his endless skills, this time speaking Mandarin, to track down the dead driver. They find a car junkyard mechanic’s place, and are talking to an old man when a toddler runs up and the man says the boys name is the same as the one the driver was telling to Steve when he died. Awww. Clearly, it’s the man’s son and the boy’s father. Mr. Chu is distraught, he is convinced of his son’s innocence and tells Five-O that his son was hired to do a $1000 delivery job. The Chu’s were in Hawaii illegally, hence the running from the cops.

Steve believes that the driver is innocent, but Danno is not convinced. They fight in their typical fashion, god I love their chemistry! Chin and Kono are working on the head, and have a few leads which take them to a hospital that Chin is oddly reluctant to go to. Then Chin is face to face with a woman who appears to be his ex-fiancee/wife? Malia. They are so cute and awkward! It seems that when Chin was in the thick of his corruption stuff, he left her, even though everyone thinks she left him. Interesting… But she does help identify the head, and Steve and Danno go to look in on the wife but something is up. The house is wrecked but the wife is gone and there’s blood consistent with a gunshot wound.

At the house, the boys are tracking down clues. Redial doesn’t get them anywhere but *69 does, a clue! Danno links it to the building that the driver was going to when he crashed. Rovin is the guy in question, and it turns out that he is the father of the head’s wife, Nicole, who is missing. Rovin is upset by the news, and he is very protective of his daughter but when his phone starts ringing he acts very strangely and there are some mysterious silver cases in his office, ransom maybe? On the way to the car, they see Rovin leave with the cases so they follow him of course. To a pier, where he takes the cases out and then waits, someone else pulls up and pulls out a gun on Rovin. Steve and Danno chase him, but the guy runs away and almost escapes but Steve shots him before he can shoot Danno. It’s the guy who rented the car that got stolen (told you so!)

He’s dead, and now their lead to whomever is holding Nicole is out of the picture. Rovin tells them about the ransom demands. Kono is pretty upset that she let the guy go, and Chin tries to convince her that it’s not her fault. The trunk of the car that came to pick up the cash has the rest of the head’s body. They go to his home hoping to find whoever is holding Nicole, but something is fishy there too. Danno finds the shed where Jack lost his head. Danno sees that suspect number one who is now dead was planning a trip, and there’s champagne and Nicole has staged her own kidnapping so they can run away to Paris together. Nicole is at the airport waiting for dead guy number three, when Steve and Danno trap her and get the story. She’s a piece of work and McGarrett is pretty close to clocking her, which she totally deserves.

Steve goes back to visit the boy who lost his father (still driving Danno’s car) and gives Mr. Chu a letter from the governor telling him that she is expediting their citizenship papers. As a surprise, Mr. Chu gives McGarrett the piece he needs for his dad’s car. To finish the fight about who’s Estrada and who’s Wilcox they watch an episode of CHiPs, and they decide they both get to be Estrada. But when Kono says that Wilcox is kinda hot, they both claim to be him.

So good! What do you think? Who’s Estrada and who’s Wilcox? Leave your TwoCents below!

This episode just made me look up CHiPs, only because like the original Hawaii Five-0, I wasn’t even alive when both shows were on 😛
