Welcome to the finale of America’s Next Top Model! Who will it be, Chelsey or Ann? You all know who I’m rooting for. Ann all the way! I think she’s just very unique and different. This is for Italian Vogue. And Ann is all over high couture!

But first our girls need to jump through a few last hoops. Let’s get right into it, shall we?

We open on our final two celebrating and separately talking about their chances. Chelsey still thinks she has it in the bag. I have a feeling she might, but I’m holding on to hope.

First up for the girls is a Vogue Italia photo shoot. The photographer thinks they are both great. He says that Ann is incredibly high fashion and couture, but Chelsey is a natural. Oh blah, blah, blah. Yes, I’m bitter. She just rubs me the wrong way sometimes.

Back at the house…Tyra Mail!
“Real high fashion models know how to commercialize their careers. Love, Tyra”

Cover Girl commercial time! They’re doing it differently this cycle. No memorizing lines! They get to dub those in later. They just have to act. They both do a great job, though Chelsey is uptight at first. I’m really proud of Ann for opening up. After they filmed, they took turns getting their beauty shots and recording their lines. Both struggled at first with the voiceovers, but once they relaxed, they were both fine. The beauty shot photog wonders if perhaps Chelsea is TOO commercial and maybe Ann is TOO editorial. Who can realize that balance of the two?

Then they are surprised with their families! That’s a rarity on these finales. Chelsey’s mom and dad and Ann’s parents and brother. I’m surprised that neither of Ann’s parents is tall. But she and her brother are both tall. I’m happy for both girls because it’s nice to see them happy.

Tyra Mail!
“It’s time to make one more important stop on your race to the top. Love, Tyra”

They are introduced to Ivan Bart, the head of IMG Models. They each sit and talk with him. He tells us he’s still undecided. It’s going to come down to the runway. That makes me nervous because it’s not Ann’s forte. I just can’t stand Chelsey’s arrogance. I know she’s just very confident, but it comes off as cockiness sometimes. Half the time I think she just looks bored.

The girls next stop is the Just Cavalli fashion show. Mr. Jay reveals that they will be accompanied on the runway be Liz, Chris, Kayla and Jane, as well as Cycle 14 winner, Kendal. The majority of the returning models think Ann should win. But Kayla thinks Chelsey has better experience. That’s true, but experience doesn’t equal instant talent. I’m still worried about Ann’s walk. Tyra shows up and greets the two finalists and their families, who will have front row seats. Then the show begins! I think they all do a great job. My only criticisms are that Chelsey looked like she’d already won and was over it. And Ann looked scared. She just opens her eyes so wide! But her walk was greatly improved.

At the final panel, we get the rundown of the prizes again. They are:
– IMG Modeling contract
– Cover and spread in Beauty in Vogue
– Spread in Vogue Italia
– Featured on Vogue.it website
– $100,000 contract w/Cover Girl

Our judges are Tyra, Andre, Nigel, Mr. Jay and Roberto Cavalli himself. They show the finished commercial. It looks really great. Ann needs to work on her speaking a bit, but great job all around. Then they review their beauty shots. Chelsey’s is commercial, as usual. Ann’s is more couture and Roberto Cavalli really likes Ann better. They watch footage from the fashion show and the judges had the same criticisms that I did above.

Deliberation time. Roberto is really fighting for Ann. They seem torn, but leaning towards Chelsey. No!! Reveal time. Ann wins!! Yay!! She’s so happy. Chelsey doesn’t understand how she lost. The judges made a mistake. Of course they did dear. I think Chelsey will have a great career regardless. I wish both girls nothing but the best of luck in their lives and careers.

What did you all think of the results? Are you happy or do you agree with Chelsey that she was robbed? Sound off below and I’ll see you back here in the Spring for Cycle 16! Thank you for reading my reviews. You guys all rock!

  1. Tracy says:

Well, I am neutral in this one coz I wanted Jane to win. So I didn’t care much watching the episode. I knew they were gonna choose Ann because she IS unique and high fashion. If the prize would have been a cover on Seventeen like usual, Chelsea would have been the one. But you know Vogue wanted Ann, regardless of her gorilla walk and the ‘stare into my eyes so I can hypnotize you’ look during the fashion show. ok, when’s the next season start ?
