Alicia looks guilty of leaking a depo, Kalinda hits a homerun on Blake’s car and the political scene gets tenser. All in all, a great Good Wife.

The episode starts off with the news that Glen Childs’ deposition from the Northbridge sniper case has been leaked to the press. The question is: who did it? It seems pretty obvious to many that Alicia did it since she worked on the case. But anyone who knows Alicia (and we know her pretty well by now, don’t we?) knows she didn’t do it. Doesn’t stop Cary from serving her in the investigation.

So the mystery of the episode is discovering who did.

Meanwhile, Alicia is on a case that looks like a slam dunk. She’s defending a DJ in a civil case where a rave went bad and several people were killed in a stampede. She has an agreement to be co-counsel with the other defendant, the security company, which means neither can accuse the other.

But then the judge changes (and demands that Alicia wear a skirt in his courtroom), the prosecuting attorney is the judge’s old buddy and then the co-counsel changes to Nancy Crozier, the sickening sweet attorney who kills with kindness, but has always been out to get Alicia (played beautifully by Mamie Gummer, Meryl Streep’s daughter).

Thanks to Kalinda (where would Alicia be career-wise without her go-to-friend?), they discover it really was the security company’s fault (an unsafe floor caused people to trip) and they break the co-counsel agreement in a clever way (involving the heavily-medicated original attorney).

Eli visits the reporter who printed the story about the leaked depo and with a little bit of sleuth work, discovers the real leak — Chief Justice Virginia Adler. You might remember this character, played by Kate Burton, as the one who tried to get Diane to run for judge then sabotaged her. In other words, someone ripe for the fallin’. Eli and Peter determine that Adler is throwing her hat in the ring for state attorney and enlist Childs to help them stop her (the female vote will swing her way).

Eli sics Diane on the judge, with the dirt Peter and Childs have on her for taking bribes. Adler agrees to not run. But it’s all a ruse. She never meant to run — oh no. She wanted to be the power behind the throne. Instead, it’s Wendy Scott Card who is running, the lawyer who sat opposite Alicia on the Northbridge Sniper case — and who really leaked the depo.

Oh my. Things are really getting strange.

Speaking of strange, what’s with Kalinda trashing Blake’s rental car with a baseball bat? Could this character get any more enigmatic? But you’ve got to admit, she did it with style, leaving her lip print on the mirror.

What do you really think is happening between Kalinda and Blake? Didn’t Alicia look stunning in the evening gown she wore to the final dinner? Do you think a woman can beat Peter and wouldn’t that have a bit of irony? Give us your TwoCents…

This was a great episode! Yes, Alicia definitely looked stunning at the gala. Will appreciated it too. I loved everything about Alicia/Will this episode.

My favorite scenes were Alicia’s deposition scenes, the partner scene, and the Alicia/Kalinda scene at the hospital.
