I was a little apprehensive to watch this week’s episode since last week’s was the best episode I’d seen in a very long time, but the writers didn’t disappoint! This episode had everything in it.
It had Ted as an architect, Lily and Marshall being their kooky selves, Robin experiencing a new relationship with, let’s say “shortcomings”, and Barney being super awesome and doing something legendary.
Ted is the architect for GNB’s new building and to build it, they must destroy the Arcadia, a very old and beloved building in New York. It once was the sight for culture and many happy times, but now it was the sight for homeless people and snakes (who mentioned snakes)?… After spending a few hours admiring the building, and a girl for that matter, Ted decides that he can’t tear down that building. He decides to quit. When the group finds out that it’s because of a girl, Zoe, they try to explain to him that he’s being irrational and needs to move past this. At first, he doesn’t listen and goes ahead with his feelings for her. He even goes as far as to join in the protest to save the Arcadia. It seems to be going well for Ted, who Zoe thinks is a Vet, until Barney, in all his awesomeness, puts up a wonderfully perfect picture of Ted in a Wizard costume on the building saying that he was building the new GNB building. Zoe gets extremely upset with Ted, until he goes home to redesign the GNB building to save the integrity of the Arcadia. Things seem to be falling into place until Ted notices that Zoe is married. He throws away his new idea, and goes ahead with his original design and plan.
Robin had slept with Max, a fellow lawyer with Marshall. Lily was telling Marshall that he and Robin had slept together and that things were very nice, except that Max had a small penis. Marshall freaks out at this idea, and reacts in a very weird way. He actually said the best line of the evening. After finding out about Max’s small penis, he said, “Now I can’t call him Max anymore.” This had me rolling on the floor in laughter. Well, we come to find out that Robin and Lily talk all the time about their sex lives, down to the last detail. This made me giggle since my friends and I do the same. But the guys are very upset by this since they compare it to locker room talk, which is short, sweet, and to the point. It led to Marshall having an extremely vivid image of Robin and Lily discussing everything Lily didn’t like during their sexual relations. He obviously doesn’t like this, and forces Lily to call Robin and tell her nothing but fantastic things about their sex life. It was very funny. Also, they go on a double date, Lily, Marshall, Max, and Robin. Marshall is extremely uncomfortable knowing that Max has a small penis, and offers to pay for everything, and even hugs Max when he goes to the bathroom. I was laughing the whole time.
This episode was sweet and to the point, but offered a lot of laughs and good times. What did you think of it? Leave your TwoCents in the comments and join me next week when I review “Baby Talk.”

They hyped up this episode so much, saying Zoe might “be the one.” It makes me wonder if we’ll see her again since she is so passionate about the same things as Ted. I’m glad we’re seeing a lot of Ted but we’re into season I don’t even know anymore and all we know is the mother has a nice foot, a yellow umbrella and a lesbian for a roommate.
I would love to see the mother be brought on and we see different parts of their relationship told in funny Ted stories. It doesn’t necessarily have to be told in sequence but something already! Don’t get me wrong, I love HIMYM but when there’s no MOTHER in the show … it sort of loses something.
