The low down: Well, the old vs. young experiment is over, which is for the best. Did anyone really want to watch the oldsters lose the majority of the challenges? The crazy, however, is not over.
And if you like schadenfreude, especially at Naonka’s expense, well, this episode is for you.
Pre-credits:
Everyone in the oldsters tribe is pretty happy that Jimmy T is gone.
Pre-Challenge:
Marty solo-views that he feels like he has the game mapped out for the next two or three tribal council votes. He says if you can see that far ahead, you’re in good shape.
Meanwhile at the youngsters’ beach, Naonka feels in control. She has the bigger alliance and the immunity idol. Alina and Kelly B are in trouble according to her.
Reward Challenge!
Finally, back to separate reward and immunity challenges.
Oh, but wait! There’s twist! Time to drop buffs and mix up the tribes! Holly and Brenda are captains. Holly has to choose four youngsters — Alina, Benry, Chase, and Naonka. Brenda has to pick three oldsters — Jane, Jill, and Marty. Interesting that she didn’t choose Tyrone. Did she choose people that would be easier to vote out?
So, La Flor and Espada are the tribe names. Just to recap: On La Flor: Holly, Tyrone, Danny, Yve, Alina, Benry, Chase, and Naonka. On Espada: Brenda, Kelly B, Purple Kelly, Jud, Sash (we haven’t heard from him in a few episodes and won’t this one, either), Jane, Jill, and Marty.
Oh, and no more Medallion of Power.
The challenge is to catch balls that are rolling down a board that are being deflected by blocks so it’s hard to know where the balls are going to fall. Your tribe scores a point when the other tribe drops a ball.
It’s not the most exciting challenge to recap, so we’re cutting to the chase: Espada wins and their rewards is two chickens and a rooster.
Post-Reward Challenge
Tyrone is thrilled to have won a challenge. He’s also become the leader of the tribe. Alina doesn’t like it much and talks about how he just talking about rules the way to do things around camp.
Holly thinks the switch is great for her. She thinks she relates better to the younger people and is ready to vote out one of the older members.
Naonka now has to align with Alina, which just makes me laugh and laugh.
Over at La Flor, Jud is happy. Here it’s 5 to 3 in favor of the young people. In addition to that, Jane is ready to dump Jill and Marty.
Jud and Marty are talking about immunity idols. Jud mentions that Naonka got the clue. Marty is surprised that Naonka didn’t share the clue. Then, Marty tells his tribe that he has an idol. He’s trying to be upfront in an effort to gain trust. Brenda thinks he’s stupid and arrogant.
Driving rain is driving and rainy. Naonka says that when she gets cold, she loses it. Oh, is that what’s been going on with her? She’s been cold for the entire time she’s been playing? Awww, look, now she’s crying. Alina thinks Naonka is weak and like a high school girl. I think that gives too little credit to high school girls. Chase comforts her and tries to talk her out of quitting. Oh, Chase, don’t do that.
It’s raining into the night and Naonka is still whining about wanting to go home. Great, just go.
Immunity Challenge! Immunity! Back up for grabs!
Okay, this is a little complicated so bear with me. There’s a wheel and tribe members are strapped onto three of the spokes. The wheel is spun by hand by other tribe members. As it spins, tribe members are dunked into water. As they go through the water, they have to take some water in their mouths and then spit it out into a bowl. Once the bowl fills, a ball is released. Then, the ball is used to break tiles that are set up like a carnival game.
Strapped on to the wheel for La Flor: Kelly B, Purple Kelly, and Brenda. For Espada, Alina, Holly, and Yve.
Espada is choosing to spin slowly to give more chance to spit the water into the bowl accurately while La Flor is choosing to spin quickly, giving more chances to spit. Espada is the first to fill their bowl and release a ball.
Despite Benry’s freakish skill for throwing things onto other things, La Flor, with Jud and Holly throwing, breaks their five tiles first and wins immunity.
Naonka solo-views that she thinks she’s done. She’s ready to be voted out and sent home.
Post-Challenge
Naonka solo-views that she does’t really care if she goes home. Don’t tease me like this. I don’t like getting my hopes up only to have them crushed.
Everyone wants to eat a chicken except Tyrone. They vote on it and vote to kill and eat it. So, they kill it (off-camera) and boil it. Benry thinks it was pretty obvious that Tyrone had more chicken than everyone else. He solo-views that Tyrone is not the easiest person to deal with. On the other hand, he’s worried about Naonka.
Alina isn’t worried about sending Naonka home since they have Holly’s vote and they’ll still be up 4 to 3 in the tribe.
Tribal Council
Alina mentions that it was tough coming into the tribe. Tyrone sort of laid down the law.
Alina says the nights were tough. Naonka says that the previous night was awful. It was the worst experience of her life. She says she has a support system here, which she didn’t have when she went through her divorce, her previous worst experience.
Yve says she didn’t see longevity with Naonka. She can’t be counted on to be someone to build an alliance. You just know that Naonka is just going to understand where Yve is coming from and let it go, never to speak of it again. Oh, did I just write the exact opposite of what I meant?
Voting!
Naonka, Tyrone, Tyrone, Naonka, Tyrone, Tyrone, Tyrone, and that’s it for Tyrone.
Bubbling Under
Well, Naonka vs. herself and Naonka vs. Yve. Brenda vs. Marty will be interesting to watch. It doesn’t seem like Marty currently stands much of a chance but that can change.
What do you expect to happen in the coming weeks? Let’s hear your Two Cents!

I hate Naonka. I wish she would have quit. Gonna be all tough and knock down a girl with one leg then cry like a little b____h over some rain? GO HOME!
Unfortunately, I have the feeling that Naonka is going to be with us for a long while.
