This is the first episode that from minute one will have you glued to your seat. It is one of the few episodes so far that I cannot keep my eyes off of the TV, Action as well as a bit of drama. This season is starting to get better especially now that there are only seven episodes that are left.
I think that everything is moving in a downward spiral lately. The whole thing that the money is gone and they are totally broke is like the way that they had it last season; struggling for money and guns and everything that they went through in season two.
The new prospects are awesome. Finally bringing the new prospects in is great. I think that it is an awesome concept even though no one will be able to take the place of Halfsack.
The fact that they are finally bringing happy on to this charter is incredible. We keep seeing him every now and again, but now that he is no longer a nomad is great. I am sure that he will still have some episodes that he is not in because even last week he said that his mom was still sick, but we have the awesome opportunity to really get to know Happy as a character.
The fighting between Tig and Kozik was welcomed. This is the first spat of real violence in a while. I think that it would be a healing process for them. The fact that everyone just moved everything aside and didn’t even try to get in the way was great. I think that it would be a good way to go to have another man on the team that was a Sgt at arms will give them further versatility since Tig has been having issues with his job since he killed Donna.
Clay seriously reveals everything to his old lady. I love that. The two of them together are perfect. I think that as this all has progressed they have been just getting closer.
Stahl and Jax seem to be working together, but I guess that I could see why. I honestly believe that as long as the two of them are working together than they are better off. With everything that she has done to the club in these seasons, it is good to see her finally give back.
Clay and Jax talking about Tara is just disgusting. I guess that it is just from the fact that I am a woman, but they need to understand that Jax asked her to stay in the first place. ‘She’s a chick, don’t complicate it.” That is the worst of it all.
The fact that they keep sending the new guys and the unknowns into danger scares me. They keep putting the new guys in front of a bad situation isn’t just a test, it is a possible death.
Jax and Gemma have a very intense conversation “Right now you are not my mother you are just a member’s old lady and I am telling you this is what you need to do to protect SAMCRO.” This is something that I could see progressing from the time that Jax went to Stahl about his mother.
Unser and Clay talking in this scene reminded me about when they had the conversation where Unser said that ‘the tit for tat cannot go on’ right after the Mayans messed up the hit on Clay and Darby. Clay and Unser’s relationship seems almost dead.
I cannot believe that Stahl would honestly do that to the woman she is sleeping with. I think that she did it just to have herself cleared. The fact that Stahl wrote that deposition means that it had to have been her own way of keeping herself with the FBI since they have given her another shot at the Irish. There was no way that she could have turned herself in AND managed to get everything that Jax wanted if she was behind bars so it made sense.
The Sons and the Mayans meeting up was peaceful but it seems like a bad deal. Peace between these two clubs never works. I am glad that the Mayans are not patching over the Calaveras crew. (Although they are the only crew that I am aware of that has an actual crew in real life) I still cannot believe that after the peace that they just handed over Juices cut, although I think that it is a great thing, I wish that he would have taken the patched presidents cut in return for what he did to Juice.
Jax really seems to be doing everything this season specifically for the club. It makes me wonder what it would be like when he finally takes the patch away from Clay and he becomes the president. That is one of the few things that keeps me going. I want to see that and see this season progress.
Darby seeing that they were dealing out drugs was bad! I think now that he is going to think that it is ok to deal as long as they are…at least while he doesn’t know the truth. Darby ratting on the Sons was just amusing. Honestly I think that it really is all just a competition. Darby needs to remember, number one a club member was who saved him, as well as the fact that the Aryans didn’t kill him.
Opie and Chuck pulling the fire alarm and covering for Tig but it was funny since the cop recognized Chuck, but I get it since they were covering for Tig and Kozik killing that Calaveras guy that did the drive by at Halfsack’s funeral. Kozik and Tig fighting is absolutely awesome. The fact that they were that pissed off at each other that much just showed that they have an awesome connection together. I cannot wait until they play it out further.
I believe that Oswald will help them because he is a part of the family whether he wants to be or not. He associated himself with them. He is one of the best guys that is in this show because he is one of the most giving characters. He has saved the club time and time again and he is a great person.
Jax and Tara need to make up their minds. They need to stop fighting. They are perfect… I wonder though whether she is ever going to tell him that she is pregnant but after that I am guessing not.
This week left all of us “Old ladies” with a bad taste in our mouth. Jax and Ima getting together is just wrong. After everything that Tara did to keep Jax for herself, what was he thinking?!?!?!
What did everyone else think??? Please review below and I will get back to you as soon as possible!!!
Next Week : Widening Gyre

Kevin Smith and Walt Flanagan’s Batman Widening Gyre probably wont’ have much to do with next week’s episode, but hopefully we won’t have to look at Jax’s butt anymore. 🙂
Haha Jeff. I really don’t mind Jax’s butt but I have to agree that there should be a little less…at least if he is going to be with Ima now.
Probably not but all of the episodes seem to have some cool title. I love it 🙂
Ima pull an Adriana on her! Jackson knows that Tara won’t be able to handle him, “cheating”. And because he loves her, he has to push her away. I hate to say it, but having a baby didn’t change how he felt towards Wendy.
As for Stahl, the only thing that makes her any less criminal is her badge. I won’t be happy if she is killed. I want to see her in jail. Forever.
Well I have to agree with that. Although he said that he only married her because he was lonely. It wasn’t like he really loved her, but I guess that we will see how that ends up playing out with only 7 episodes left!
I think that if anyone is to kill her I would love to see Gemma do it. I think that would be some great justice.
Great review – I adore this show and I love your analysis!
Awww Thanks Meg 🙂
the best episode so far. while i wanted to reach through the screen and punch jax in the face, i think this was a excellent move by sutter. it just gives one more thing that will make me watch this show every week. and make me go nuts with anticipation. will she tell him about the baby? will she keep the baby? what will gemma think about the whole thing especially since she knows tara is pregnant with her grandchild?
Hmmm In my opinion (And in trying to channel Kurt Sutter)I do not think that Tara will tell him. I think that she might just get rid of it, we already know that she did that once with Kohn’s kid…but I guess there are different circumstances. Anything that she has told him this season is pretty much what pushed him to the point that he is at now. She tells him that gemma and her killed the caretaker and he gets pissed, tells him that she wants a leave, he gets pissed at that. I think we need to take a good look at the fact that he has been pulling away since episode one.
I think that Gemma will try to convince her to keep the baby though. This is her second grandchild and I believe that Tara and Gemma will stay at least somewhat close, since Gemma is the Queen of the bikers 🙂 lol
🙂
Great episode !! love this show.. and Jax butt is hott!!!!! Lets see more of that..lol.. That is so wrong what jax did..ugh!
Agreed!!
