Story night had its ups and downs last night and now it’s time to end the story for one of our stars.

The elimination fairy once again passes me by and does not grant my wish.  So who did get sent home?  Read on to find out.

The encore dance goes to Mike Sorrentino and Karina’s fox trot.  The encore dance used to be about showcasing the best of the night.  Why are we being subjected to the horror that was this retched fox trot.  I thought maybe with the pressure of judging off it might be a little better…or not.  Sorrentino actually looks afraid to move his feet.  It’s just so sad.

Susan Boyle was supposed to perform, but apparently had to back out, so the producers threw Michael Bolton a bone and had him perform.  If it were me I think I’d be insulted.  Ne-Yo was also on hand as a musical guest.

Design a Dance song will be Billy Joel’s “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me.”  This week’s voting will be for the professional dancer.

We were treated to “high noon with spandex.”  Val Chmerkovskiy, Maks’s younger brother faced off with Mark Ballas in a music and dancing duel. Val plays the violin and Mark plays the guitar.  They played and danced and they both rocked.  They are unbelievably talented dancers and musicians.

I think it’s interesting that they no longer do the “bottom two.”  The stars are just announced as being “in jeopardy” but they’re not necessarily the ones with the lowest score.  Left in jeopardy tonight were Margaret and Bristol.  In a very disappointing elimination, Margaret got the ax.  I don’t think she should have been eliminated.  She at least has musicality and can perform her dances.  But, she must not have had the fan base to keep her on.  Bummer.

Aw, Team Gay is gone. 😦 I thought they were a blast, even if the dancing wasn’t great.

Right now Rick is my favorite. I liked him on week one, but Monday he was awesome! (And SMOKIN’ HOT. He’s not even my “type”, but dayum!)

Rick was pretty hot! He and Kurt are right up there with my favorites. I love Rick’s smile and energy and the sheer joy he seems to be having (Kurt also).

  2. Joe Montoya says:

who was the other singer on the show besides Michael Bolton?
