  1. Nadine says:

Running Wilde is a good show with some great lines and characters, and a lot of potential. It’s fast-paced. I came here to see its status, I hope it gets renewed.

  2. Katie says:

I am always happy to see a female character-driven show (I love In Plain Sight, Medium, and The Closer), but I am appalled that a show like Rizzoli & Isles is being renewed (and is THRIVING) while well-written shows like Terriers and Detroit 187, with interesting, fully developed characters (even if they’re not women), are in trouble.

It’s as if the viewing public as a whole are confused by boobs. R&I concept is “eh” and its writing is weaker — it never fully adopted an identity or voice of its own and is instead a rehashed conglomeration of other shows. The characters are one-dimensional and the writing is a constant barrage of cliches that the actors can’t fully rise above. For example, in one scene they showed a newspaper article titled, “So+So Marriage On the Rocks” then they made the super-cute Lee Thompson Young say, “Looks like their marriage was on the rocks.” Really? Is that the best they can do?

I love Angie Harmon. That is why I stopped watching Rizzoli & Isles. I also love smart writing and interesting, fully drawn characters. That’s why I will continue to watch Terriers and Detroit 187 until they are inevitably canceled.

Write in campaigns have started dealing with the Caprica cancellation. A rabid fan has spoken and is trying to get people organized.

  4. Doreen says:

Glad most of the shows are continuing. It sucks to get involved and then it’s over. I just don’t watch most of the cop/crime shows though. I prefer character driven, soapy shows.

  5. Kristin says:

Im so dissapointed Dark Blue was canceled. I was just starting to get into it last season.

  6. Annoymous says:

Now the bad news; they are moving the schedule of the show! It seems like they need to ax this show like they did with Womens Murder Club – move the show schedule four times in a season. Oh well! Screw ABC! They are playing their game again to ax another promising show!

  7. George says:

I hope ABC doesn’t pull the plug on “No Ordinary Family”: it was the only new show offered this Fall that you might actually want to watch with your family – and vice versa! ‘Reality’ shows obviously don’t count, for want of the ‘want to watch’.

On the other side of the coin, it would be a shame if the CW ditched “Nikita”: I haven’t paid too much attention to anything on the network since “Star Trek: Enterprise” (if you count UPN, which they need to). Of course, they’ve had worthwhile shows like “Babylon 5” (if you count the WB: see UPN above) and “Smallville”; but for some reason I never really got interested in those.
