You know things are not going to turn out well when several people are duck-taped up in a living room and some guy is digging a pick-axe out of a duffle bag. Plus, we are talking Fringe here. Three hired criminals have been hired to dig a mysterious box out from under the foundation of a perfectly normal suburban home. With a little home-invasion and a lot of digging, they find the box and, curiosity killing cats and all, they open it. Bloody noses and clouded eyes later, there is only one person that makes it out of the house alive… with the box that strangely doesn’t affect him.
Peter, busy pouring over the blueprints for Walternates’s doomsday device, bounces back and forth theories as to how it works. Broyles thinks Peter should try to figure it all out, Walter thinks he shouldn’t. Fauxlivia sides with Broyles. Fringe Division is called to the crime scene, where they throw around some speculations and wonder about the missing “buried treasure.”
The next morning, while Walter, Peter, and Nina attend the reading of William Bell’s will at Massive Dynamic, Fauxlivia and Mr. Decapitation (I guess I can call him Newton from now on) have a little tiff. He was the one who hired those guys to dig up the box, but the box is still missing with the third hired man. Actually, the third man period. Newton only hired the two. Fauxlivia is angry because Fringe Division was supposed to find that box.
Following up on some leads, she and the third guy come into contact with one another. At her house, actually. He saw her investigating the crime and decided to go to her house to turn the box in. And why was he not killed in the first place? He is Deaf. The box works with ultra sonic waves that his ears could not detect. Fauxlivia takes the box from him, gives it to Newton, and kills the poor Deaf guy. That, my friends, is the main difference between Fauxlivia and Olivia. Peter almost catches her, but some kissy-kissy distracts him.
Newton takes the box into the subway system and leaves it with a homeless person. The homeless person, whom I like to call Pandora, opens the box, unleashing the deadly ultra sonic waves. When Fringe Division shows up, Pandora has taken the box into the tunnels and ther is a possibility that hundreds of people could die. There is only one option: Peter needs to dismantle the “bomb.” Olivia fires two shots next to peters ears, rendering him deaf for a few minutes. He races down the tunnel, watches Pandora’s head literally explode, and gets to work on turning the device, which he recognizes as a component of the doomsday device, off. After cutting some wires and managing to not get hit by a train (thanks to Fauxlivia), the threat is over.
So Peter has a missing piece of the doomsday device and begins working on it… which is exactly what Fauxlivia wanted. The whole idea was to get the box into Peters hands so he could. Oh – did I mention William Bell left Walter Massive Dynamic? Yeah. So there’s that.
What do YOU think? Are you as conflicted about Fauxlivia as I am? I mean, she is just a misinformed person trying to do the right thing. If she knew the score, would she change sides? And what about this new layer of having massive Dynamic at Fringe Division’s disposal? Give us your Two Cents in the comment section below!

Ok, so the exploding head scared the livin crap outta me! Walter and the cow trying to make chocolate milk= priceless. Best remark: Walter mentioning bacon flavored pudding… Lol! Love this show.
Yes – the head was so gross it was awesome. Another great moment: when Walter licked what Astrid thought was brain matter off of his tie. Sheesh. I need to not eat snacks while watching this show!
My question is, how the heck did they get out of Oliv’s house without seeing the blood???
